Destiny: Pay extra for emotes, find the guns for free. Warframe: Have emotes for free, pay for guns. I prefer option 1.

Dude. Destiny isn't perfect. But let's not kid ourselves about Warframe. That game's store and trading system is a freaking scam. Unless you buy "platinum" (the in game currency) with a 75% discount, the trade-off is gross. A color palette costs 5$. Weapon and character slots cost money. Items have wait-walls, which actually isn't too bad, but then there are some pitiful "quests" that take up to a week to complete due to those wait walls. It's a mess. Last time I checked, there was an item in the store called "frugal credit bundle", with which you could purchase 9000 credits (similar to glimmer) for 30 platinum. That's 2$ for 9000 credits. Do you know what 9000 credits can buy you in the game? Nothing. You can get 9000 credits by playing a couple of missions. The only function of that bundle is to scam new players who don't know how the game currency works. And so on and so long. And even though the market is mostly cosmetics, thanks to the trading system the game comes close to being "pay to win". Just go to trading, get yourself a Rhino Prime and a Soma Prime (or a Boltor, I don't know what the go to weapon is nowadays, I always used the Latron/Burston Prime myself) and you're set. My point is: Destiny is not without its flaws, but I'll take the RNG over Warframe's "Grind Or Pay" system any time of the day. Just today I was thinking "Man, I'm still missing No Land Beyond! I know it's bad but I'd like to have it because it looks like fun!" And guess what I got from the second nightfall run I played this week.

The downside is that you have to play Warframe.

almost everything in warframe you can get ingame. No upfront cost to the game. You might have to craft an item and wait a few days , Destiny they lock you out of content for a week on some content, others look you out and only available randomly and take your progress away like Iron Banner. But whatever , if you can't see how other game companies are trying to give you these small DLC items for free and Bungie is putting them behind Redbull and DLC paywalls and you are happy to throw money at the screen to let game developersknow that there are a portion of people who would rather pay for those little things than get them free

So? They microcharge everything.

I'm glad other developers are laughing at bungles idea of selling emotes for $$. It's about time their peers brought this issue into perspective.
