Ghost shells as special reward, good idea?
Hello Guardians,
- Let me start off by saying I'm not native English so pls forgive me for my grammar.
- So we all know there here, ghost skins.
You've probably seen the image before.
I've been waiting for these to get ingame since the start. (I know the special edition one is ingame) I really want that last white slot to turn purple and have a full inventory of legendary/exotic items.
- Now here we go, I have an idea how to implement them in to the game in a "cool/rewarding" way.
As we all read here on the forums about "elitists" and that it's good or not that's your own opinion. But issen't that the whole point of the game becoming "legend"(elitist)? I bet that everyone of you guardians wants to reach the top right? And wear that Glowhoo eventually or something at least to show off your accomplishments.
I think it's one big thing we are missing in this game. In the most MMORPG you have something to show of your accomplishments/grinding through a special mount, weapon, banner or tabard or something. So coming to the point;
- Why not make the ghost skins special achievement rewards?
- Then I don't mean as in beating Crota one time, we all know Glowhoo all ready lost her shine after the first week.
No I mean real achievements like getting all achievements (1000 gamerscore) or doing a hard raid 10x, but also doing cool stuff in crucible like earning a bunch of special medals. So every guardian can show off what he's made off and everybody can see by his ghost 'hey wow he's a crucible pro' or 'cool he's done 1000 miles on a sparrow'.
And if you don't want to show of just keep your ghost in your pocket.
- I think it would be a neat feature, I can see a lot of colorful ghosts in the tower.
- I'm not a game designer but since bungie.net tracks everything it doesn't seem hard to implement such a feature, right?

1 ReplyMaybe they will be in the taken king. This is why. So during the e3, Bungie showed us the inventory of a guardian with new armor and all of that. They also showed us that the ghost was on the armor screen now instead of next to the emblems and shaders. They also showed us that the ghosts have light levals. So maybe you need a certain light leval for different ghost shells. Also just a quick add in to this post. Class items like warlock bonds, Hunter cloaks, and titan marks are going to have perks. I'm gonna get the taken king dlc for sure.
