When we scrimmage other clans, we play by these rules to increase gunplay and skill:
1. No exotic weapons
2. No heavy weapons
3. No final round snipers
4. No blink

TV like your work man, I appreciate all the Youtube videos.
-
When you scrimmaged triple wreck they used blink?
-
They did. We compromised.
-
Oh, and how do you set up your scrimmages? We would all like to see a video I bet
-
Play Cod then
-
No supers in cod. Less balanced gunplay in cod. Less fun in cod. Less variation in cod.
-
I feel you. But war is never fair. You have too adapt to your enemy. Im in the miltary so i understand this.
-
How do you even match up against each other without private matches
-
Edited by RagingQuan: 6/19/2015 12:25:53 AMNo blink in sweaties? What? And no exotics? Lol double what
-
Wtf is a "sweaties"?
-
-
A scrimmage game against 2 evenly matched teams essentially
-
Interesting comment I think it puts the topic in perspective. You have 12 people that all agree to remove the bullshit elements from the game and play within skill based boundaries. Thanks

Edited by Adam: 6/18/2015 4:53:55 PMBut then everyone just uses high impact Pulse Rifles right? Doesn't seem much too different to everyone using exotics, though the Hand Cannons are completely broken lol
-
Nah last time one guy used the Jewel, another used messenger, one used scholar, one used fatebringer, one used stranger's rifle. You get a lot of fun variety that way, actually.
-
In other words, when everyone uses Thorn, player skill is the thing that sets some people apart. Your rules make it so that certain weapons will help some while hurting others? Mmmmm-kay.
-
I hope when custom games come you can restrict weapon choices to a select pool. Like only using the Trials weapons for instance. That's be pretty fun
-
Yea...but I don't think I have any secondaries from trails
-
Curious how you scrimmage with other clans. No customs No possible clan matchmaking No possible way to communicate with the other clan if you do randomly get matched up.
-
We set it up ahead of time, get both teams in orbit, team leaders in same party, queue search at same time, wait til it goes to 6/6 immediately, check and see if it's them, back out if it's not. Usually takes 5-10 mins.

Edited by Yo Erk: 6/18/2015 4:32:34 PMAlways wanted to try that but figured the odds were too much against it ever happening. Cool you can get it work.
-
Whichs makes it so most scrimmages are legendary pulse rifles and handcannons, the majority are also gunslingers.
-
No blink? Why? 2 classes can do it, which means that something more than 70% of the players can do it.
-
66.6%, repeating of course...

Edited by Chillz Out: 6/18/2015 9:03:41 PMBecause the idea is to judge people on their skill level. Blink shotgun takes no skill and it ruins the game. It's also too easy to escape from situations where you were outplayed with a swift blink
