We need more ways to get Etheric Light. (Please READ.)
Honestly, it was less of a pain to grind Ascendant Materials; you always got plenty from the Vault of Glass and Daily Heroic activities. But Etheric Light? The only way to get an ample supply of it is to play the exact same round of Prison of Elders 3 times a week, every week... and that only gets you 3 pieces of Etheric Light, 6 if you can get a team good enough to go through Skolas 3 times, which is no small feat.
I say we need more ways to get our hands on Etheric Light. Here's a good way to do it:
[b]1. Add Etheric Light to Level 32 Prison of Elders rewards.*[/b]
-This alone would be a good start. 3 more pieces of Etheric Light a week, and more reason to do the Level 32 challenge.
[b]2. Have Prison of Elders rewards stack with difficulty.[/b]
-Why do I have to run Prison of Elders 6 times to get the most Etheric Light? Why can't I just run the 35 and get all the rewards for the lower-level challenges too, like with Raids? Basically, if you beat Skolas on one character before doing the lower-level challenges, you would receive the rewards for the Level 32 and Level 34 challenges as well; that means 2 Armor Cores, 2 Weapon Cores, +1000 Standing... and 3 pieces of Etheric Light.*
[b]3. Add Etheric Light to House of Wolves' Daily Heroic rewards.[/b]
-Daily Heroic activities that feature the new House of Wolves story missions already provide an extra reward in the form of 20 Vanguard Marks... though they give you Motes of Light in place of Ascendant Materials. I say replace the Motes of Light on the reward table with one piece of Etheric Light for these missions. Normal Daily Heroic activities for the base game and The Dark Below would stay the same.

That should be enough, I think. I believe that adding Etheric Light to HoW Daily Heroics would be the most essential; it would be nice to have the occasional chance to grab Etheric Light without having to put together a Fireteam or head into the Crucible or Trials of Osiris.
Also, bear in mind that The Taken King may raise the level cap to 36; that means you may need more Etheric Light to Ascend your gear again, even if you get all your weapons to 365 and all your characters to Level 34. If that turns out to be the case, that's all the more reason for Bungie to give us more ways to earn Etheric Light.

Get more friends. Have every legendary ascended and a stack of 20 in the vault. Accessibility is not the problem. It's the laziness to not want to do the activities that give it. Not bungies problem.

Are you crazy? BUNGIE is gifting etheric light, I have 30+ sitting in the vault, I don't even bother much with PoE, might do few runs only during week.

are you joking? you get it from nightfalls, iron banner and poe 34 and 35. I have 3 in my vault after even maxing vestian dynasty and abyss i don't use. poe 34 is always easy, besides with ascendant you had to gather a lot while this is just one time ascending material. It's perfectly fine tbh

Adding it to the daily heroics (even HoW ones only) would make it ridiculously easy to get, and would defeat the purpose entirely of any sort of rarity :/.. The reason you can't mass bundle them is because each challenge is different, and thus unlike raids where the content remains the same between difficulties, granting a lump sum reward for all 3 by just doing one doesn't work. As to the 32, you receive an armor core which allows you to instantly hit at least 33 light, that's almost like getting an etheric light, except the armor piece also provides advantages in PoE and helps with getting more light later, so I think that's also fine as is. This one I believe is the only at all plausible addition, tho again I personally disagree. It's just too easy to get etheric light overall, many people were 34 within the first day (I had all 3 chars at 34 in 3 days, not grinding), and a chief complaint against HoW has been how easy it is to get to max level, compared to the base game and TDB, where it took weeks at least due to rng drops. This expansion the drops are at least guaranteed (for better or worse), so there's very little to really ask of it..
