Worrying about XP to your next level doesn't become useful until you hit 20, then your motes of Lights come in and you more focus on getting better gear with higher light. But what about with your weapons and armour that you want to know how much further you have? I'd like to see an XP system where it shows how much XP you need to level up a certain piece of armour or perk for a weapon. So then it saves the dicking around, swapping characters to assume you'll hit that exotic perk for your weapon. An Example of this method Shingen-E Sights Sureshot IS 0XP Red Dot-ORES 2500XP Focus Lens FLS2 5000XP Spray and Play 2500XP Upgrade Damage 6000XP Fitted Stock 7000XP Hand Loaded 10000XP Upgrade Damage 10000XP Let's use this example here, you get 3500XP, your sight and First Tier Ability will be unlocked. While your next upgrade which is "Focus Lens" will show up with the following Details Focus Lens FLS2 Agile scope. Modest zoom. Light and snappy. XP Remaining: 2500 And so on and so fourth. Next are the bonuses, from Nightfall and Iron Banner. The next example Walking Tall Complete a strike without dying XP Reward 5000XP + 1250XP Vanguard Reputation 100 + 25 Hovering over these will have the Radiant light icon by the side, indicating the Nightfall Bonus. As well as showing how much XP is needed for the next Mote of light rather than a bar.
