4 horsemen

I was thinking about the enemy races and each one seems to represent distinct themes and concepts that line up with the biblical four horsemen and the supposed leaked original story of destiny in which the traveler is a false messiah/anti-Christ who brought about a golden age simply to tear it down. The Vex: they are death, they pervade all time and even outside of time. They do not discriminate nor do they seem to have any other motive than to consume/assimilate. The Hive: they are disease, they infect, hide and consume, they are grotesque, and use swarm tactics. The Cabal: they are war, they are a militarized empire, their mentality is that of conquerors. They use very materialistic and rough weaponry,no pseudo-magic or gods or kings like the hive, and no unexplainable tech or over mind like the vex. The fallen: they are famine, the closest and most immediate threat to the last city, constantly scratching at our walls as we struggle to get by. Perhaps the guardians are the true messiah collectively, maybe the source of their light/power is not simply just a handout from the traveler but something they already possess. Edit 1: I acknowledge that there is def valid reasoning for the vex and hve switching spots. They are so close but for me it comes down to aesthetics and themes presented by the races. Edit 2: I'm not pushing any religious dogma here,I'm merely using religious themes, concepts and symbols to speculate on the game. Religious themes pervade our culture and are present within almost every creative media. These ancient themes and archetypes resonate with all of us despite our religious backgrounds.

  • how do you get vex to be death?! we attacked them first, they are defending themselves. haven't you noticed the vex are the only race who will focus more on the other nearby minions of "darkness" instead of us guardians?! Also, I partially believe the vex are good. at least the ones in the vog. how: there are many similarities between the traveler and the vex. considering the vex are based nearly entirely around ancient greek times, (including the names relating to them, even kabr. in greek kabr means grave): perhaps the traveler is suppose to represent the titans in greek mythology. he was creating a golden age, but for himself, as the titans did. they created an age where they ruled all and they lived supreme, and everyone else suffered. they called this the golden age. the gods then game, vanquished the titans who were their creators. perhaps the vex represent the gods, the traveler represents the titans. the traveler created the vex to help him forge a golden age, but they rebelled. they are trying to free us from our bounds by time. we are chained to this time realm by our ghosts, which have a suicide protocol built in. that is why Kabr did not die when Aethon teleported him, he had lost his ghost before that, so the suicide protocol never activated, so it never killed him! the traveler is trying to forge a golden age for himself, not us, and the speaker is the way he does that.
