It's still there just keep grinding! Only way you can pick it up is by killing the blades of Crota. Keep running the fist of Crota strike, when you kill the first blade of Crota go to orbit and enter the strike again. Luckily it took me 5 times! Just remember that's it's all random so it could take longer!

ive been doing this same mission for like 3 hours still nothing

Keep checking your inventory. It won't flash up like an engram does. It will just appear in your inventory after killing a blade.
