List of Weekly "Tasks"
So I try to get as much done a week as I possibly can. My list so far goes as such.
Weekly Nightfall
I'm finding this to be the better source of random gear. Yay Gjallahorn!
Weekly Heroic Story
Gotta get your coins.
Queens Wrath Quests
For Rep, Keys, Gear, Exp. These quests are generally auto complete because of randoms
Prison of Elders 28-32
Moar gear and moar rep.
Crotas End
Gear for vanity, Weapons, upgrade materials, lulz.
Vault of Light
Gear for vanity, weapons, upgrade materials, lulz.
Xür
Exotics!
And lastly I do random bounties.
I'm not much of a PVPer. So I don't really aim at Trials of Osiris.
Have I left anything out?

I honestly think you should get into Trials, if you get at least 8 wins you get two etheric lights and a chance at 2 random exotics, and if you get that 9-0, 3 etheric lights, awesome emblem, elemental primaries, and another random chance of exotic. It's worth it. If you want (if you're on Xbox one) you can run it with me this Friday, me and my friend have gone 9-0 both weeks on all characters with and interchanging 3 person. You down?
