Let's be completely honest there are constant complaints about some weapons, specifically exotic hand cannons being unbalanced so how, in theory, would we balance them? Here is an idea I have for balancing the thorn.
Reduce the standard magazine size back down to 6, and then remove the send it perk and replace it with extended mag to take it up to 9. I genuinely think this change although not a huge nerf could be the balancing thorn needs. It's not huge and people will still complain but I think it's more balanced, the send it perk on thorn shouldn't be there anyway IMO, it turns it into a sniper. So reduce the magazine size to 6 and remove send it so players will essentially choose between a 9 mag, and higher stability and would have to choose ballistic options.
I think this would balance greatly as pretty much you would choose between the two optimal ballistic options, (slightly lower impact, lower stab, higher range vs slightly higher impact lower range but higher stability) and then choose to go for a stab boost or a mag boost? This would mean bad players can still get a kill with the thorn by spamming body shots but it would be much more rewarding for a skilled player and mean not any average Joe could pick it up and win, because the reload speed, when you need to reload you could get killed more likely too with the lower range as you're likely to be closer
I think this would make it a tougher choice for people who are considering exotic primaries like TLW, Vex, Red death, Hawkmoon. Opinions?

I think they should give it Wolf Pack rounds that aggressively seek targets and can armour pierce through walls. Seems fair to me
