  • Well it's a concept album of sorts. I think it's kind of interesting how every song has the word 'drones' in it at least once.

  • I get that's a concept for sure. But I also feel like they're trying way too hard to tell me it's a concept, you know? Like even the cover art (which I don't think is very good considering their usually awesome covers) is just a blatant explanation. Here's a guy, controlling a guy, controlling the masses. Like I'm all for conceptual albums, but I'm not for them when I feel like they're trying too hard to explain themselves. That's just how I see it though.

    Yeah I like lyrics that you kinda have to read between the lines, or they might literally seem one way but the symbolism is just beneath the surface.

  • Same! But we'll see what the rest of it is like on Monday. I like the direction. I'm just hoping for more substance in the last half of the album. And of course Muse isn't the greatest band ever when it comes to lyrics for obvious reasons. But I do think they're capable of better.
