No. Stop trying to make things the easiest difficulty. Play against the best or don't come to Mercury.

  • Just saying, Trials is meant for the best PvP players, if you can't challenge anyone and everyone and come out on top in those 9 matches, you don't get the rewards. Stop trying to punish the best players just because others can't beat them.

  • Punish? Does that mean PvE players were punished back in November when suddenly IB had gear with 30 light? No, PvP players were just given fair access to something that was previously exclusive to the elite of PvE. All PvE is asking for now is the same. No, I don't expect to be handed the emblem or shader or armor or any guns. You don't get handed PoE equivalents of all that. But I do expect access to Mercury. Especially considering all the crap we've had nerfed because some noob couldn't find a way to beat it in PvP. If you're against that, then I'm sorry you have to have some digital content in a game nobody will care about in 5 years to feel like a special snowflake. Real life must be hard for you.

Fair access to a PVP game mode reward...? So you're saying a PVP only player should be able to get raid weapons? And emblems from Crota or VoG? Elite of PVE? You gotta be kidding me. Both raids were boring long before IB offered a chance to go 32. If that's elitism in PVE... Interesting. What do you want on Mercury besides getting loot? There's literally nothing there.

  • Oh light levels? Yeah now both PvE and PvP can give Etheric light, so we're all equal there. PvE has raids, and has had the main focus since release, if you didn't have anyone then that was two entire end-game activities cut off from you. Now PvP finally has it's own little space and you PvErs can't take the fact that there's competition now to get certain areas unlocked. We don't bitch and moan because we can't access the Vault, or Crota, or even the PoE treasure room. You're not entitled to everything because you paid for it, you paid for the opportunity to get it, if you want it then put the effort in.

  • "Then put the effort in" to finding a raid team. If you can't find anybody it's because you're a prick and intolerable. And PvP has always had "its own little space". About ten of them (I'm aware that's not the exact number). Every PvP map (unlike most games these days) is a fresh environment and not just ripped from a story mission somewhere. Some might resemble story areas in appearance, but they're all their own place. Keep trying kid, I guarantee you can't think of an argument I can't shoot down.

  • Bahaha I have a very good raid team, people get shunned from them all the time though is what I'm saying due to one or two little things: Underleveled; -cough-Gally-cough-; being shy; no mics; and so on. PvP is constantly refreshing with the fact that every enemy is different in their own way and not controlled by the AI. Some people just plain don't like PvE, and will never make the Treasure room, just as some don't like PvP, and will never make the Lighthouse, and some people just plain aren't good at one or the other, and that's fine, because it means things aren't being handed out. Accept the fact that you actually have to be good at something to get rewards for once, and stop whining like a 12-year-old.

"have to be good at something" Did you even play last week? Because I did. And skill had nothing to do with it. 95% of my matches had ridiculously suspicious lag spikes every time action approached the point of somebody dying. A few potshots here and there and everything was fine. A quick snipe before anybody knew what was going on? All good. Rushing with a shotgun when there's only 1 guy left? Lag spike. Time resumes, team is dead. Final enemy rushes my full team? Lag spike, time resumes, team is dead. 1v1 fight and I'm 1 shot from killing him? Lag spike. And even once that gets fixed, you're not one of the top 3 players in the world. How come you get to make it and I don't? Where's the cutoff? It's luck of the draw with this broken matchmaking. I was paired with the number 3 guy in the world in a Rumble match once upon a time. One of my first few rumble matches if I remember correctly. And if you think Raid and PoE don't take skill then you just never tried tackling one before a cheese was discovered or unless you were ridiculously overleveled for it. You try taking on VoG without anybody in the team at 28+? You beat either version of CE in the first 36 hours? Also, sounds like your team doesn't have the talent to carry somebody through a raid despite the fact that both of them have been 2-manned on hard. Constantly kicking for not having galley or being too low leveled? Embarrassing. EDIT: your poor wording had me confused. Please ignore the "unable to carry" point. And anybody who can't beat level 28 PoE with how easy it is to reach 32...I don't even have to finish that one. The PvP equivalent is somebody who has never broken 5 kills/game. That's probably the most invalid of all the points you've tried to make. You'll have to wait a good chunk of time for my next reply. I have to work.

  • Yeah I played, I went 3x flawless, it wasn't that bad? Maybe your connection just sucks. I know raids and PoE require effort, but frankly in raids you can just carry people who aren't good or underleveled, and fyi yeah I beat Crota within 36 horus. I personally have never kicked anyone for not having equipment or whatever, although my wording was fine, maybe work on your reading comprehension, or actually think about what I say before responding. And I wasn't referring to 28, I was referring to the fact that the 35 PoE has extra stuff in the room that you can't get if you don't beat it... Just like the ToO, but you don't get a participation area for completing a lesser version of the event. Have fun, I'll be shutting people like you out of the trials in the meantime.

  • I don't think punish is the right word... However, essentially what is happening is, you take a team of NHL players and send them back down to juniors and stomp on the less experienced players so none of them make it to the NHL. Or NFL to College if that analogy makes more sense.

  • Alright if we're using sports analogies, let me sum this entire event up in one (yours is completely wrong by the way, I'll explain): We have the Crucible (aka training stages, junior hockey etc), you do good and you can work your way up into the top teams of Iron Banner (the semi-competitive arena, where the newer teams would play in lower-level tournaments), and then we have the Trials of Osiris (top teams, NHL level skills). You don't go straight from junior-level sports up into the NHL, you work your way up to the top. So basically if you haven't practiced your Crucible skills, it's your own fault you can't make it to the Lighthouse.

  • Yes, and like in real life, if you go into a competitive area without the skills to match then you won't last very long

  • Hey, don't play anything competitive if you can't take on skilled teams, otherwise you end up bitching on forums about how people are better than others... ...Oh wait...

  • I don't personally have an issue playing competitively. I am decent enough to get through, although I don't care for this games PVP very much. I know a lot of people have had issues though, so I was coming up with a reasonable solution.
