Why does everyone like tripod? It gives you the same amount of ammo but a bigger magazine. Clown cartridge is way better because you have a high chance of getting more rockets. If you wanna see the best one its on my hunter.

3 rockets without reload ing gives you a better chance at survival and you wont get killed reloading

"High chance" 25% isn't that high. I'd rather have three rockets in my pod. I can easily shoot down multiple targets without having to reload. Clown cartridge is no good if you die because you're reloading.

I'd rather have a guaranteed 3 rounds in each mag over a possibly larger mag. Guarantees are a lot better than random!. You must think RNG is awesome.

How many times do you need to shoot 3 rockets in quick succession? Tripod is effective in less than 25% of scenarios. Now 25% chance of getting your rocket back means you get high reward at the risk of having to reload straight after. I'd personally prefer to take the risk.

RNG is my friend. It keeps many people I may face in PvP under-armed. I need all the help I can get.

You really notice it if you're trying to kill a boss before enemies spawn. Take fighting atheon. With one in the chamber it's hard to get off all six rockets in one teleport. With tripod Iv can get off as many as 8 and still have time to let loose with a snipers Its about time to kill.

Fine but that is the reason why people like tripod. Well everybody likes tripod for PVE. But even in in Pvp i can hit 3 targets without reloading. A radegasts hits one but you're vulnerable to a second opponent that's doesn't get killed by the first rocket while you're busy reloading.

I got that. Arc, clown, javelin and tracking. Dud about 10 rerolls, so im happy.

On a rocket launcher that holds 1 round tripod is a must otherwise on anything that holds 2 rockets i agree clown cartridge is better you get free rockets.

You get more rockets from clown cartridge out of a launcher with 1 rocket than you do with 2 or 3. I got 7 shots out of 4 rockets.

Yeah i know that i have launchers with clown cartridge. Im saying launchers that hold 1 in the tube i would rather tripod loading after each rocket fired is a huge waste of time. Clown cartridge also dosent proc that often on rocket launchers.
