It's not just destiny. It is a thing in gaming overall that is getting out of hand. This "well than don't play" attitude is horrible for anyone who spends money on a video game. Video games are a very unique product where consumer feedback is absolutely critical for success. For like 20 years this was a norm. People went onto forums to point out mistakes and make complaints. This is literally the entire reason a forum exists at a core level.
Now we have these hipsters and angst teenagers who are confusing a forum with a fanclub. In 2008 the average gamer was about 10x as intelligent as the average gamer today. I am suspicious that a lot of people who are playing video games today are not even that interested in the hobby. It is like these kids are clinging onto a game to feel like they belong to something. When we say something in the game sucks and needs to be fixed, they get as defencive as a person who is having their country or career questioned. If you bring up automated transportation in a room full of truckers, you get the same attitude as bringing up a Thorn nerf on these forums. It is really sad.
