Bungie needs to be reminded what defines "challenging" Gameplay.

Because Prison of Elders is NOT it. Vault of Glass, however, [i]was.[/i] Why? Because VoG actually had team based objectives that required full cooperation to achieve success. -Raising the spire -Defending the Confluxes -Destroying the oracles -Defeating the Templar -Sneaking through the Gorgon Maze. -Making it across the platform jump. -Killing the gatekeepers and defending the central Conflux while your teammates retrieved the relics. -Destroying oracles in the portals while your teammates cleared supplicants outside. -And finally, killing Atheon. Just look at this list...that is a lot of TACTICAL cooperation to complete OBJECTIVES. [i]Not just 5 rounds of killing the same enemies over and over again.[/i] And then there's Crota's End -Navigating through an awesome thrall cave AS A TEAM. (Or solo lol YOLO) -Then surviving together at the end to build the bridge. -Building the second bridge and using communication to survive long enough to get everyone across. -And then...[b]the Deathsinger.[/b] This is where everything went downhill. You see, instead of presenting another interesting challenge for us to complete, like destroying oracles or navigating through a cool maze, Bungie decided to "crank it up a notch" [i]by hurling 50 hallowed Knights at us.[/i] Seriously? I mean, really, how lazy does that sound? "Guys, we don't know what to do. I know! Let's just throw tons of pointless enemies at them and pass it off as a challenge!" NO, Bungie. Giving us a giant mob of bullet sponges and increasing their levels so we only do 50% damage is not "hard mode." Not a true one at least. Hard Mode was taking away revives. Taking away the chalice. Making a wizard spawn if we killed the knights. Putting a Gatekeeper in the safe room. MAKING US THINK!!! [b]That[/b] is a challenge! Unfortunately, Bungie has become lazy as all hell recently, and just said f-ck it, let's just throw higher level enemies at them that constantly shoot and never reload and add a modifier burn that makes them kill all the players in 2.3 seconds. That sounds perfect, right? Seriously? Come on, man...it's truly embarrassing at this point. I am literally embarrassed FOR you, Bungie! You are better than this! There are so many things you could have made that would have been better than "Prison of shoot enemies until you win." Oh but wait, "we added mines!" And? Who gives a flying f-ck about making us stand in one spot for 8 seconds? A 5 year old could have come up with that idea. The ONLY, and I mean ONLY, thing I've seen in the entire PoE, that I thought was even [i]remotely[/i] mentally stimulating and original was when Urrox burns the ground and the "slow" mines that cone up out of the ground. Everything else is THE EXACT SAME SHIT WE'VE BEEN DOING FOR 8 MONTHS. Wake the hell up, Bungie and stop insulting our intelligence by trying to pass off this 3rd rate "arena" as a kickass, FUN, cooperative gaming experience. Because there is [b][i]nothing[/i][/b] fun about shooting at shit for 5 rounds. You may think making the enemies harder to kill with elemental shields and making the guardians get 1-shotted by bosses with burns is upping the ante, but it's not. This type of gameplay only serves to frustrate the players. Quick poll: Who here would like to fight Valus with solar burn on? Deathsinger with arc burn? Atheon with 50 major minotaurs and void burn? Have I beat this dead horse enough for you to open your eyes, Bungie? Or are you still too blinded by dollar signs to care?
