This is the most poorly designed fight I've ever seen. Endless adds, instant death fields, a single enemy that you have to kill at exactly the right time or auto wipe. Seriously? This fight is absolute garbage.

these 34 s just require a few runs to learn the trick. get a good jailbreaker and it's not bad
-
If you dont have a team strong enough to take him down in the 1st min then tun all the way to the right. One of your teammates should only be looking for the jailbreak goblin while the other two just shoot baby atheon. The person who uses jailbreak should be able to pop everyones shields with a shotgun.
-
Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I've completed it four times this week...Just get a guy with a strong shotgun such as Invective to kill the Eyes that spawn and the shields should go down quick.
-
3 galleys + weapons of light = Dead in 30 seconds
-
GJALLAHORN!!!
-
Its tough, but beatable. Def alot easier than arc/skolas
-
There needs to be a longer time between when it says the boss is looking for targets and when the bubble appears. Or, killing the Eye should give your entire party the buff, not just one person. Little things like that I think would help a lot of people out. It is a pretty frustrating fight, and a lot of times it's frustrating in an artificial way. Like if my team is doing fine but the Eye screws us over with a weird spawn. That's the game screwing me over, not me screwing up.
-
Tip...pop a heavy wait for your second shoot all your first heavy at him wait for the first detain get out pop second heavy shoot him a 3 minute job Peace
-
Made quick work with icebreakers, js.
-
Took me less than 20 mins to beat him. Skolas with arc burn is much harder.
-
If you didn't like level 34 don't even think about level 35
-
Wtf? What is everyone doing in the fight? Me and my team beat it after we learned we had to kill that one glowing guy? All we did was sit in a corner and snipe and the glowing guy would come to us?
-
If you roll with a Hunter who has the celestial nighthawk, he can one shot all three detain shields if you're close enough without Jailbreaker from Qodrons eye. Qodron isn't that hard, just gotta pray the Eye gobby doesn't wander too much.
-
It's all about timing . Everyone bunch up on right side . Constantly kill adds . Have shotgun for detain kill eye pop detain spam rockets profit It helps to keep everyone bunched up so the person with the buff can destroy detain effeiciently

Edited by AlmostUseful: 6/1/2015 5:17:32 PMAll these threads about this boss being impossible had me thinking this boss was extremely difficult. Had more trouble with 34 Urrox last week. You just got to give jobs to people. We had 2 people look for the eye, once found one person keeps track of him and thins adds. Once you get the feeling it's almost time, kill the add for jail breaker, and stack on each other so the detainment things can be taken out quickly and all at once. DPS boss for a bit, rinse, and repeat.

Edited by SORjosh: 6/1/2015 6:03:35 PMquodron ENTIRE fight described in one picture :) Shit is hot garbage! We will continue to gally his ass into oblivion right out of the box because the rest of the fight is pure shit.

Here's been my experience so far. If your fireteam has less than two lvl 34s it's pretty much impossible. Now before I get a bunch of keyboard tough guys telling me they did it with three lvl 33's, let me just say that you're full of shit. The game is far too buggy to last that long in a single fight and not screw you some how. I have been able to beat this boss with a fireteam with two lvl 34's and one 33. Gally spamming at the door works as long as you have two 34's. Tried it for over an hour with only one 34 and we couldn't kill him before getting detained. It takes more than good team work if your team is under powered. The bubble extends your area of effect for Quodrons cannon. If the bubble gets hit by it, you will take splash damage. Going to the left seems to be the go to strategy, but you need to take out the ads before anything else. Just ignore Quodron until you have taken them out, you get a brief moment of time where it's just you and him. What breaks this boss fight for me is that damn eye of Quodron. Sometimes he stays on the platform and doesn't come down. Sometimes he teleports to the other side of the debris. Sometimes he respawns and wipes your team once you get detained. Sometimes he never shows or regens his health. The other problem is the rate at which you lose life. If you have less than 50% life before getting detained, you're pretty much dead even with the buff at lvl 33. Running with a 365 invective and I still will not survive if I've taken too much damage. This is without a doubt the hardest boss I have ever fought and yes I have not faced Skolos yet. I love challenging bosses, hell Bloodborne is one of my favorite games, but this fight is infuriating. I remember doing VoG and Crota on hard and playing those raids for hours, but I never wanted to physically break the game like I do with this boss fight. My clan is full of great players and teamwork is highly stressed when we play, but the general consensus is that you need 2 lvl 34's to beat this and every video I have seen shows just that. This week has really made me think of putting this game down and running my second playthrough in BB or buying Border Lands. I know I'm gonna get flammed by the "get gud" crowd or "you need better team work" mantra that seems to be flooding this forum, but I could give two shits. The games first responsibility is be fun and this fight just isn't.

Literally such an easy encounter. Keep the shiny goblin one shot until you need him...
-
It's not that hard. Two basic starts I use are one everyone gjallahorn up with full rockets and have Heavy synth ready. As soon as you walk out have a titan pop weapons of light then just hammer him with rockets. For this way you need to be 34 with maxed gjallahorn's for it to work effectively. Second strat is everyone rush to the left from the start and hold that area. If a member goes down don't revive them until the bubbles are engaged so they will not be trapped. You should have a decent line of sight to him from here to hit him with snipers and rockets. Try to time killing the eyes with him getting ready to summon the bubbles. This way jailbreaker doesn't run out before you have time to pop the bubbles.

Golden gun + celestial nighthawk = GG bubbles
-
Beaten it three times now, three different ways. It's challenging, not impossible.
-
Turner tfue soloed it
-
The only thing that makes this game difficult are the adds. The bosses are a joke when focused by 3-6 other people, but it's all of the majors that make it near impossible.
-
I was 1-2 as a LFG guy. No gally spam either time. The frat boys that carried me had it dialed in. Sharp coms, assigned roles and some patience. The adds slow down after the first couple of waves. I ran out of primary ammo a couple of times.
-
Youre complaining that youre not good enough for an Arena challenge... Bungie cannot fix that. The only thing they could do to help you is make a Weenie Hut General hospital for you to recover in.
-
Once you get the mechanics down its a very satisfying fight when you beat it. We did it legit with 1 gjally and 2 black hammers. Had to fight the eye like 10 times but it was really fun.
