We all need to chill.
Title says it. I bought the game day one, grinded my gear through Vault of Glass. Was proud to be a 30. Dark Below came out. I was pissed...."why should new guys be on my level" is what I thought.
House of Wolves is out now, and I've read here and other places that leveling is too easy. To that I say think of new players.
I started a new warlock yesterday, I am already sick of trying to obtain hadronic essence. It's an absolute chore!
The new players to the game would most likely give up on it. Lets pretend my new warlock was my first character. I would say screw this game! Bungie has to allow new players ease of access. If they didn't, this game would die. I don't want that, you don't either.
We need to all be better gamers. When we see them newbs, lets not talk shit, but help em. We all started fresh, some in September, some in December, and a handfull in May. Lets be the awesome community we can be. I can't do it alone. Help me make Destiny a better place.

I had a nice moment the other day. Helped two guys complete the Prison of Elders for their first time, I had the pleasure of telling them about the treasure room and got to see their reactions the first time they dropped into it. It was really rewarding to see how pleased they were with their new exotics.

Regarding Hadronic Essence: just farm chests as that seems to be the most efficient way of getting engrams and you also have a chance at getting Keys for PoE. Cash all armour engrams in on your Warlock and you'll get enough.

I like to imagine the people who make posts like these standing in front of a Destiny flag that is gently waving in the breeze, while the theme music plays in the background as they recite their little PSAs... Then I laugh at how useless these kinds of posts are.

No idea where to go from here though and I get completely wrecked in Crucible by people who have better armor/weapons but I'm still enjoying the game. My two sons have started accounts this last week too so there are always new players to the game and we newbies need help when facing people who've been with it since September!!!

I agree especially in the iron banner and trials where level is so critical. I much prefer to have the armour I want rather than whatever happened to drop.

1 ReplyGood post! It's clear now the game isn't about level, it's going to be about customisation getting that perfect load out that suits your playstyle that's what it's all about. Level has slowly gotten easier all the time and that's fine

5 RepliesEasy way to get Hardonic essence/wire/plate is just go farm the ether chest and turn in all the blue engrams on whatever character you need mats for and break the armor down. Way faster than running strikes or loot caves if you do the chest glitch.

3 RepliesI congratulate you for trying to stand up to all these whiners and also to actually do the urn of sacrifice and use the gauntlets. I was really disappointed to see that those gauntlets were terrible. So well done.
