Why people aren't playing nightfall and high level prisons
Because they can't get in a group. The lfg app isn't helping at all. Nightfall and all levels of the prisons should be matchmaker.

Funny, that's not what I was thinking. I was thinking that people aren't playing nightfall because the rewards in nightfall haven't kept pace with the rewards in the rest of the game. Ran nightfall last night and the group received the symbiote, universal remote, and a legendary fusion rifle. The probability of getting anything new or interesting is pretty low if you've been playing a while. PoE on the other hand, can't be the same thing. ;-)

All levels of both should not be match made. If you go in with 2 friends, one gets kicked, would you rather a random join or your friend? I went into the 35 PoE, got kicked, and was unable to rejoin, luckily you can join in a loading screen when the fire team wipes.

Lfg and the recruitment section of the forums are nice alternatives, but they're not really all that ideal as a permanent solution in the long run for a game that simply lacks matchmaking where it matters the most. There's no sense in you developing additional content, and yet you limit the ways in which the community is able to access it. If the numbers are actually done, Bungie shouldn't be surprised.

You need to learn what to put in your description. Just putting 365 gjallarhorn isnt enough. Are you a titan? Do you have saint 14? Put it in description. Are you hunter? You have new exotic helmet? Put it in there. These things show you are more than just an op gun. The biggest problem i have with destinylfg.com is searching through a bunch of scrubs that dont know how to use the gear they have. (If you post for 34 PoE that you have an icebreaker i will guaranteed not invite you)

Funny you mention this. Just before the weekly reset I ran with a group for VoG hm, CE nm, VoG hm again when it reset, then PoE 32 all because of reddit. Took us 10 mins to find people and we swapped like 7 different players because of time restraints and they had to leave. Matchmaking would be nice but if you are a social person then finding groups will be easy.

You really only need to use LFG a few times. As a day one player I have so many destiny players on my friends list I can hop into any game. Just finished three nightfalls...hopped in one after another. And I get party invites and game invites every 20 minutes.

They aren't playing because they suck. Everyone had the same opportunity to play, but 80% choose not to

God no. Nightfall with the buffs to it and if everybody dies you start all over. Some people don't listen and die in an impossible revive stop and makes it longer to do the process or you all die. Poe doesn't need it at all I see so many post on people playing it for hours trying to get it done. Well I'm not up for that every week and I'm sure most of the players are not too. Do 28 with matchmaking and send messages to the other two players you are paired up with to join you at the higher levels. If they don't join you 1 can't pull your own weight or they don't have time to do level 34 or 35. Trials I can see it being done before nf or Poe dose but they need more into it like search for mic teams or all good connection or all connection the lag in pvp is God all full. They need to work on dedicated servers for the later destiny game and destiny 2.

Forcing people to leave the game they are trying to play, to find people to play with is Bungie's "current philosophy". If enough people make their voice heard, this may change.

3 RepliesStep 1: Get a mic. Step 2: Play WELL in strikes etc... Then send friend requests to the other players. Step 3: Be willing to help others instead of looking to be carried. Step 4: Just be a decent person, and before you know it your friends list will grow like a snowball down a hill. DO NOT USE FORUMS FOR RECRUITING. People who do this are lazy and want to be carried rather than building their own group of friends.

3 RepliesI've been using the app since December to run raids and nightfalls. Funny thing is, I'm so sick of it. I hate posting on there and searching for groups when they're no better than the weekly heroic groups. It would so much easier with in game lfg or optional match making. HoW has really made this apparent for a large portion of the community. PoE and ToO just piss me off now and it hasn't even been a week.

I agree. It's very difficult to find people to play in these modes that don't have matchmaking. It would be great if a headset connection was required so as to encourage teamwork, but I just really want to come home and get put into a game instead of having to jump through hoops to find a team.

2 RepliesIt's bungie's philosophy that you should stop playing the game, get on the internet, and spend 5-10 min trying to random matchmake yourself, because they're not gonna do it for you.

I complete 3 nightfalls every week, the xp gains are the best part for me plus might get that 1 exotic eluding me from the old set

I have no issues finding groups ever. Gotta network. That's why I love this game. You can't just pick it up and max it out by being a loner
