i don't know about it,i think they must give at least 1 for heroic weekly and maybe another 1 for each Nightfall.
I did it 2 nightfall ( titan and warlock) and i didn't get one from both,so yeah it's by lucky but my opinion isn't good.
1 for weekly heroic and 1 for each nightfall sounds good..6 per week ( 3 heroic and 3 nightfall )it's a good way.

If you added PoE that'd be another 6 per week with 3 characters. Meaning you'd get 12 a week and that wouldn't take very long till you're bored out of your mind again.

Where ? you mean Priosn of Elders ?? i did it 6 time in a row ,of course level 28 cause there is no optional matchmaking,but i'm sure they give you etheric light only for level 34/35...and how i can handle this without people to play ? i have to my last nightfall with hunter class,but im sure i will not get.. my opinion is 1 for each weekly and another 1 for each nightfall mandatory. so we are sure we can get 6 per week and sounds good. i have a lot of weapon and armor to upgrade..and i not included the new weapon or new armor.. at least i will be happy also to have it 2 etheric light per week. this is a great game ,i like it ,but still lacks about optional matchmaking... with matchmaking would be more doable and less grind. i hope you understand me ,i'm not english so i can't speak very well ,i'm italian..it's nice for me to meet new people on this board.

I understand you, I also understand what you're saying. Your best bet is to hit the recruitment forums to find a group to run Prison of Elders. I don't see them giving out etheric light that easily, but my easy may not be other players easy.
