Dragons Breath for the most part was a pretty big disappointment after getting so hyped over it when we saw some first clips of it being used in the dlc teasers for TDB. We saw that torpedo shape and shark head and got stoked. Then we realized it didn't have tracking and didn't do near the damage of Ghorn. Thus it was stuck with the oh so tragic life of a trophy item in out vaults.
I've got some ideas to make it badass.
First off I'd like to say I know this will obviously never happen. But let's just dream for a second.
For starters, it's an exotic...give it some freaking tracking for goodness sakes!
Secondly, (and this would be the big change) instead of it firing like every other rocket let it live up to its name. Each time you pull the trigger with a tube of three loaded in it, it rapid fires all three shells in quick succession with tails of flame streaming from the backs of each missile (hence the name) dragons breath. A lot of you will think, "three rockets at once?! That's way too OP" but think about it. You miss and you just lost three rockets. Your PVE target teleports just as you fire and bye bye rockets. So you would have to time it correctly for it to be worth it. High risk, high reward.
And last but surely not least. Instead of having a standard solar flare that sits on the ground (forcibly moving enemies out of the damage radius I might add) the flares actually stay with the enemy that was impacted if he isn't dead on impact. So when you're fighting a high health boss and he runs to get out of the flare after being hit, they 'track' him more or less, staying with his body doing continuous damage until they burn out.
I for one would be saying goodbye to my ghorns if this was an exotic.
What are your thoughts? Or do you have anything you'd add or tweak?

Update: Thanks for all the feedback guys! Keep it coming! It looks like there is a general consensus that there shouldn't be tracking but everything else is a good option.
Update 2: Loving this diversity in the opinions. It's fascinating to read all of your thoughts! Keep them coming guys.
Update 3: read a lot of people saying that dragons breath is fine how it is. So I'm curious, do we have any Ghorn users out there that use Dragons breath in certain situations over Ghorn? If so I'm curious to hear when and why!
P.s. If you guys are on Twitch go give me a follow. twitch.tv/an_orly_fox this link won't work on here but you can just type it in on a desktop. I do solo raid runs on each character every week and give tips and tricks to soloing on any character. XD

3 RepliesI like these ideas, however I would scrap the whole flare idea altogether. It should just ignite the target and deal the same amount of damage over time.
