I think sidearms will have limited use and life span. If it was its own 4th weapon slot itd be ok; but it takes the spot of the secondary where every other weapon is more useful. I dont see sidearms being used in a serious capacity.

No land beyond + sidearm Universal remote + sidearm
-
Yes, 2 instances where it might be useful, but im a solid PvE player and neither of those weapons i use in anything other than patrol.
-
What about scout rifle + sidearm ? You have long range advantage and mid to close range protection
-
But why would the pistol be better than a fusion rifle or shotgun?

Edited by CALL ME SUSHI CUZ IM GOIN : 5/11/2015 10:07:15 PMYou got a guy at low health out of scout ride ammo , he's at a redo able distance to counter back , a fusion ride is to unpredictable and slow to hit him , a shotgun is way out of range , ban goes the sidearm.

I think thats a good strat in PvP and i think sidearms will have a use there, but what about PvE? I only do PvE which is why I ask.
-
Nightfall? A Tyson rife is good but still slow , a shotgun had range penalties, a sidearm is a middle ground
-
Ah yes, good call. With the right burns it could be useful.

They're fun guns. Try doing a full raid with them it's quite amusing
-
Lol idk if my raid team would find it as amusing, but i do own them both. I suppose in PvP you could pop a shot on someone with NLB then switch to the pistol if its a super quick swap and finish them.
-
I did it with 2 friends and 3 randoms and warned them before we started and they said they were fine with it lol and yeah I can only use nlb on my hunter. QuickDraw is a godsend.

Nice! And for now I guess we'll just have to wait til next week.
