Your worst FML Moment in Destiny?
What is your absolute best (or worst, depending on how you look at it) FML moment in Destiny? I have two I would like to note. Yesterday I ran VOG Hard mode, my level 31 friend joined in who has only done Vault of Glass once, and he gets Fatebringer (which I want more than anything right now) and Praedyth's Timepiece. I just said "FML" because I've done hard mode 8 maybe 9 times and still have yet to get a Fatebringer, and he gets one on his first hard mode run. Another moment was actually today, when I got No Land Beyond from a legendary primary engram.

Often times I'll chuck a trip mine at something and completely miss.... and then forget about it. A couple seconds later I'm walking past it and it launches me rag doll style across the map.

1 ReplyEdited by Always Feral: 5/9/2015 5:13:00 PMI had been running Scout Rifles and Pulse Rifles as my main go-to weapons for a very long time. Got into Handcannons a lot, too. For PvP, I'd run Red Death almost exclusively after the week Xur sold it. It was a very slow-firing, nasty weapon that wiped shit out. So after a long while of blasting people with Red Death, Fair & Square, various Handcannons, a handful of Scouts, Thorn, etc. I wound up getting bored and decided to try my hand at Auto Rifles. I had a few of them in the past. Had Hard Light before Xur ever sold it, and I maxed it out but I found the graphics glitch to be too distracting. The weapons were alright, but I didn't really enjoy them as much as removing someone's skull with a Devil You Know slug or a carefully-timed burst of Red Death. But I figured I'd try anyway. Stuck with them. The DLC had just come out, so I saved up 150 marks and got an Up For Anything. Wound up liking it, and its whole "Legendary Shingen-E" feel. Saved up another 150, and got For The People. Thought the perks on Do Gooder V sounded handy, so I saved up again... each time ranking up to get the Commendation to buy each thing (DLC had just come out... nobody had piles of the useless things sitting around like we do now). So after ranking up 3 times, spending 450 marks, and grinding for materials and grinding to unlock the maxed upgrades for all three of these rifles... 1.1.1. Update comes out. They all sit in my Vault, rotting away. And I'm back to shooting people in the face with Red Death, staring ahead blankly with a bored look on my face in the Crucible.

anytime i play on shores of time. i fall off the map(mostly at b) at least once. EVERY. DAM. TIME.

Threw a trip mine at the Ogre on hard mode and died. Running VoG hard, at Atheon, I forgot I switched from hunter to warlock. Went to double jump like a hunter but ended up slowly floating into the abyss trying to get to the middle platform.

Floating over to the middle during Atheon, decide to pop my bubble mid-air. Popped it too soon, missed the platform entirely and zoomed down to my death...

My worst fml moment was when i was playing with a bunch of friends on crotas end and i died and it was dark zone but no one revived me for the whole game

First ever VoG run. I was still very new, but I'd just realized how big a hammer Gjallarhorn can be. We all make it to Atheon and hop to the center. Titan pops a bubble. I figure I can REALLY contribute here. Guardian down.

Week 38 still no blackhammer or fatebringer. Pretty much just gave up...

Atheon at the very end of his life, everyone is dead from a glitchy relic and I've sent my last gally flying only to be killed before it hits. FML

Helping out a group of low levels run a normal crota. We kill him and I hear both 27's we were running through go "cool i got a gun called hunger of crota!" And "oooh i got my first gun...its the rocket launcher! Hunger is the last crota weapon i need...

4 RepliesPretty much every time I log on and realize that awesome piece of exotic armor I bought from Xur week 2 (which I no longer use and can't even remember what it was) was a better use of the limited coins I had over an exotic rocket launcher I would never use. I mean, c'mon, an exotic launcher? No way I'm gonna use that over my Monte Carlo (fyi, stopped using my Monte not long after when I got my first Euros) lol. Moral of this story, chose 2 exotics I no longer use over the one I would use if RNGesus would stop pooping on my face lol

Trying to get the final shot to refill the mag on my Black Hammer and an enemy runs across my screen, auto aim kicks in and messes up my shot.

People who rage during raids, or people who generally take them very seriously. I always walk away feeling like I lost time im my life that could've been spent having fun some place else.

Wife soloing nightfall spends a good 45 minutes playing it safe while I was doing other stuff. I jump in after I'm done, she dies, I go to save her and jump off map instead. The proceeding death stare burned a hole straight through my soul.

13 RepliesMy FML moment was last night. Randomly patrolling Venus. Come across this group of four trying to bust the Vault. Lvl 24, lvl 25, lvl 29, and a lvl 31. I decide to have pity on them and go over with my Word of Crota and Ghorn. They invite me to their party and game so I joined their party initially and just helped them open the door. After about 40 minutes of me holding one plate by myself they manage to get the door. They ask for my help so I say why not and actually join them. No one knew what they were doing. It took us three tries at the Confluxes, two tries for Templar which almost failed the second time but I managed to kill him when I hit him with the shot that dropped his shield (I should mention a lvl 31 friend of mine joined and helped as well), it took us I don't even know how manybtries to get to the one chest in the Gorgons Labyrinth because no one knew how to play follow the leader, took 30 minutes to get everyone across the jumping puzzle, took another 40 at Gatekeeper where I ended up going in both portals soloing them, and after another hour or so of attempting to kill Atheon and not even being able to make it to the first time stream without two people dying I gave up. I carried them through the entire raid and sacrificed three hours or more of my life to come up empty handed and unsatisfied. F.M.L.

I was running VoG hard with a first timer to see him get back to back Foils in two raids this past reset. I still had not received one. I deleted a Hunter to make a Warlock and it gets a double Foil drop. Will edit a screenshot or video when I can.

Near launch, I was playing with these two scrubs on Phogoth. They were pissing me off because they kept goofing around. Naturally, I wanted to get done as quickly as possible. Standing in the shrieker doorway, I pulled out my rocket to shoot Phogoth. Right as I shot, one of the scrubs walked in front of me and my rocket killed me. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUU-
