Already disappointed it seems they are sticking to the high rate of fire low impact trend.
With proper balancing it wouldn't be a bad thing I suppose, however there just won't be much diversity in a weapons stats and instead will be more determined by a weapons perks.

Actually the Impact on the Sidearms translates to about the same damage as a medium impact scout rifle, I did the math from the PoE stream and Vestian Dynasty did around 2700 on a crit and Fang of It Out did about 3300. It was arc burn but the damage was similar
-
Remember though impact rating means different things on different types of guns. Just take sniper rifles for example
-
It three shot a knight.
-
With an arc burn, you gotta remember that.
-
So remember with Arc burn it 3shot a knight, the dang of it Yut 3 shot a knight too with Arc burn. There damage to the critical was carrying by about 200-400 in difference, with arc burn, now without it the side arm is still going to hit relatively pretty hard
-
True, I wasn't trying to argue it.
-
Oh -blam!- off. Seriously. There have been SO many high impact weapons shown already. Plus this is a hand cannon/sidearm. Don't knock it until you try it.
-
Without trying it what I say stands, with proper balancing this could be adequate.
-
Its impact is low for its weapon TYPE
-
Stats work differently across different weapon types. Look at snipers like the praedyths. It doesn't have much impact and still hits hard.
-
Look at no land beyond, regardless of being a primary it should still perform as any other sniper rifle in that impact class. Does less than praydeths. That would be the only way it would even be viable.
-
I know There are too many things wrong with that weapon. I would just wait to judge weapons until you use them because I've heard that these sidearms can dish out some decent damage.
-
We have seen 2 of them... I wouldn't jump to that yet.
