Have you ever helped noobs while on patrol?
I was on my way to the gate lord mission and saw 4 players struggling to form the spire. They were levels 26 to 28 and it looked like they were new at it. I held the right sync plate for them while two held the middle and two held the left. Well after about 15 minutes of them dying, we finally formed it. I waved to them as they entered the vault, and felt good about helping fellow guardians in our fight against the darkness. Then I rode off towards my mission.
[spoiler]I knew they were all dead as soon as they reached the confluxes, but it was still fun helping them.[/spoiler]

I usually help out if I see one of my friendlist doing the nightfall alone. It's good glimmer anyway, and making them happy makes me happy. Or if doing NF solo, once im at the boss and almost killed him, I'll invite two lower levels, that I know would not complete it otherwise.
