I continue to use auto rifles in PvP and while I don't dominate the crucible or ever have for that matter, I still get the occasional kill just like I used to before the nerf. I just don't understand why so many people run into this dilemma that they can't get any kills since the change went into effect. I feel it's more about how you play each match and what tactics you use as opposed to what primary you choose. Or am I the only one here who has this magic effect with the auto rifles?

I still use my Silimars Wrath for IB and Up For Anything in raids and still do respectable.... Idk why people complain, seems like like user error to me

I think using it in combination with seeker grenades works: while they are running from it, it gives you time you need to keep pummeling them with the AR, and if they don't run from the grenade, they might not die but they will be easy pickings for a fast RoF AR to finish them off. It works better in team play where you can mop up opponents who are already hurt.

Fact of the matter is. Everything outguns them. End of story

I melted these dudes with Thorn yesterday with both my silimars wraith and Doctor Nope, you just suck with a AR, DPS and range is a big factor, an AR with Range Finder or Hammer Forge are always preferred, but if not understand the range at which your DPS drop off and you'll win most battles against scrub guns like Thorn!

With the shit map design it's not always possible to get range

AR's are Medium to Short range now, if you have Range Finder or Hammer Forge, it's easier to shoot for those longer shots, because DPS will drop off far less, you ALWAYS want to stay at Med range for most engagements, AR's will not win against a shotgun user that's all in your face, but if you catch them running at you which is 70% of the time they are running at you, you will have a great TTK, high ROF AR's have a high TTK if you land mostly head shots, so it's simply getting use to the recoil pattern of said gun!
