So I was restricted from strikes 2 weeks ago. I dont know why but apparently it was because I went afk. So know I cant do strikes, nightfalls, and weekly heroics. Not only does that ruin the experience for me but also my friends since I am one of the only 32s that they know and they usually need my help.
But seriously? How long will this restriction last?

You don't get banned for being afk a couple of times.
-
Well hope u learned ur lesson and make sure u dont afk again or u will get permanently banned which wouldnt be fun now would it

Guys what's up with all of this hate? Everyone makes some mistakes, I mean almost no one hasn't gone AFK at some point. And most AFK bans that I've heard about are 1 month. But that is unconfirmed. But seriously guys lay off he's already banned he doesn't need the community to make his day worse by insulting him.

I'm so glad you're on Xbox #scum
-
As of now no-one but Bungie knows how long the bans last. But i checked your game history and it seems it has happened many times. Give it a week or two.
-
Hopefully permaban because AFK noobs are noobs.
-
Im not trying to give crap or anything but if your gonna go afk then leave what your doing. And in order to get banned you'd have to do it alot. But seriously just dont afk while others are around
-
Well joining strikes when someone is afk is extremely frustrating. Id say your banned for 2 or 4 weeks and you deserve it
-
your complaining about being banned and it ruining your destiny experience. the reason your banned is because you ruined the experience for other players by going afk. you lost your right to complain after going afk multiple times and other players reporting you. why should anyone on this forum care about someone who makes our experience bad. move on to call of duty or donkey kong. destiny expects more of you. can't be lazy here. we're not gonna see people profit by doing nothing. don't like it? tough! i don't care.

That's what you get for being a herb and sitting in the back while the other 2 guys with you do all the work. Serves you right . If you have to go away from game leave matchmaking/fireteam. That's what I do and any person with half a brain would do

This post made my day, I am so glad they are restricting you from playing. As for you saying it happened one time for a couple minutes, bungie said themselves it was only for the most toxic players.
-
The only reason action is taken against you is because you do it constantly. Bungie straight up that you cannot get restrictions for momentary afking even if your reported for it. You account has been looked at and seen to be in strikes going afk very frequently if you got restricted. Tuff luck. You get unrestricted and keep doing it they will ban you

Here you go bud a bucket for your tears. \ / \'___/ 👶👶👶👶😭😭😭😭

A quick look at your history in strikes tells the story theres several matches with little help, most of us have things pop up in the middle of a game and not got banned unfortunately if it happens 4-5 times a week with all 3 characters you're in with a chance
-
The ban system in Destiny works a lot like the one on Bungie.net. Your best bet is to just keep waiting, and to refrain from playing Strikes in the future if you know you will/might be AFK while they are underway.
-
It ranges depending on the severity of your afking. I heard of one guy who went afk on 30 strikes and even he didn't know the term of his ban. You just have to wait it out as I beleive they don't tell you or your ban length
