I was on my way to the gate lord mission and saw 4 players struggling to form the spire. They were levels 26 to 28 and it looked like they were new at it. I held the right sync plate for them while two held the middle and two held the left. Well after about 15 minutes of them dying, we finally formed it. I waved to them as they entered the vault, and felt good about helping fellow guardians in our fight against the darkness. Then I rode off towards my mission.
I knew they were all dead as soon as they reached the confluxes, but it was still fun helping them.
If I can, I do. I like to try to be a nice player.
-
I have a few times. And yes, I knew they would not get past the confluxes as well. Hardest part of that whole raid IMO.
-
no but I follow them shooting with my atheons epilogue
-
I'll help whom ever!?!

I'll help whom ever!?!
-
I'll help whom ever!?!
-
Yeah il help them if i can
-
Yeah I help wherever I can, whoever I can, unless they don't want it - had a few occasions where I've come under friendly fire, no doubt someone has misinformed them about loot drops relating to solo kills lol
-
Yah I'll help if I see them having an issue.
-
You waved then off to their deaths hahahaha.
-
One of the last things that keeps this game alive for me is to find new players that need help with anything.
-
If anybody needs help I would be happy to do so. Feels good to mentor.
-
I've done it numerous times on patrol, I'll even check out their Grimoire score to see if they're truly a noob, and always make a trip out to the sync plates to see if any noobs are trying to get into the VoG.
-
Hahaha I did the same too! I saw some guardians having trouble in opening the gate so I helped them and waved as they went by it felt good :')
-
That spoiler tho hahahahahaha

Edited by GuardianzOfWar : 5/5/2015 8:02:03 PMNo but I did help a guy in the Tower who was looking for Xur. I watched him as he ran from spot to spot. He actually went to the right spot and missed him...I facepalmed. But I wasn't a dick about it...went over and pointed at him. Then pointed in front of me to tell him to follow me. Took him over to the spot. I was exactly right. He was looking for Xur.

I did it once while on a pike. It was fun and felt good to see them complete the spire and enter the vault.

All the time, helping people is a nice thing to do. Besides, it generally just involves me clicking a couple buttons for a few seconds and then riding away ...

Edited by dogsheet_player: 5/5/2015 7:49:05 PMNo. I used to, but then I realized that those noobs where the ones who made the forum entertaining
-
Who goes on patrol anymore?
-
Last week I did the same thing with a fire team of 6. I ended up holding the right plate by myself and they defended middle and left.
-
I had some folks save my butt yesterday on Mars during a public event but they road off before i could see who it was.
-
All the time, usually when I see a low level struggling with enemies.
-
I have a couple of times, I enjoy it. I was hunting to finish a melee bounty in the cosmodrone when a level 4 kept getting shot. I jumped in, helped him out, ended up playing with him for an hour or so. He is level 30 now, I feel like I'm part of that.
-
Yes! Love helping others. Feels satisfying

I like helping the low-level guys you just know are new to the game (low grimoire, little armor, etc.). A couple times I'll jump in, message if they need help and if they do I'll have them jump in my fireteam and just go for it. Once I got a person who asked a ton of questions about the game ... which was funny because they were the exact same questions I asked my brother-in-law when I first got the game. I'm always happy to help.
