Have you ever helped noobs while on patrol?
I was on my way to the gate lord mission and saw 4 players struggling to form the spire. They were levels 26 to 28 and it looked like they were new at it. I held the right sync plate for them while two held the middle and two held the left. Well after about 15 minutes of them dying, we finally formed it. I waved to them as they entered the vault, and felt good about helping fellow guardians in our fight against the darkness. Then I rode off towards my mission.
[spoiler]I knew they were all dead as soon as they reached the confluxes, but it was still fun helping them.[/spoiler]

I once watched a level 2 repeated die whilst he was patrolling, which seemed odd to me, because I thought you had to be a higher level to patrol. So I shadowed him for a while, I had nothing planned so I just waited till he had engaged and finished off what he started. I did this til he was level 4 and then left him to it. I am sure he had no idea it was me, as I was using my Ice Breaker from a distance. But this is not the first time I have helped people, at least twice I have helped kill the Cyclops thingy on Mars, just before you go in to the Black Garden, waved and then carried on with what I was doing. One time I even tried to help people get in to the Vault of Glass, but the group was a total disaster. I was even offered a place on their Raid group, but no, I have no real interest in Raids or Raiding.

If i can recall correctly, only once... for a shared world fps, the servers are not usually with other players to interact with.

Was running a bunch of ROCs the other night and just as we spawned into Dust Palace there was some poor bastard doing an eliminate the target over the other side and without a word the 3 of us jumped on our sparrows and went and destroyed the target ... then back to flaying flayers...

Edited by PONETHEPOON: 5/5/2015 7:19:53 PMWhen I was leveling up my third character I had a vex majors bounty, I knew there were those minotaurs that spawn in that one area on Venus so I went there. They were level 26 or whatever and I was level 8 so I couldn't damage them. I noticed a level 31 walking around so I pointed at him and then at the minotaurs. He went up and killed them while I took a pot shot at each one (thus getting bounty credit) and we did this five times until I got the bounty. Didn't use party or game chat, just pointing.

1 ReplyI put my shield over a low level guardian who kept trying to fight a Blade of Crota and dying over and over. I felt good about myself for a few seconds, and then I tried to show off by pulling out a rocket launcher and decimating the enemy; what ensued was me misjudging the shot and hitting my bubble with a rocket, which launched my dead body into orbit.

2 RepliesI help low level players on earth all the time. Its always a hoot to hand a pike off to some level 3 or 4 guardian.

2 RepliesI've helped out before, and ended up with a little kinderguardian following me round like a lost puppy a few times. I always wonder what happens to them when I move to a new area, especially if they're [i]really [/i] low level!

This level 7 guy was struggling against a Blade of crota so i sniped the knight down and the guy seemed happy then i think he saw the blink in my sniper and stopped jumping around

3 RepliesIf i see if somebody needs help i help them. When i just farm on patrol for fun and a see low lvl player i shoot at them and point at chest. sometimes they think i am so nice that they shoot at me and point at a chest they found. I love it to help people. It's more fun to help people to get there stuff done then leave them struggeling.

2 RepliesIf they actually need it, yeah. But if it's just people doing story missions or something I tend to leave them alone. I go by the assumption that I'm not the only one who finds it annoying to have high level players barge in and kill everything for me.

1 ReplyI help out whenever the opportunity presents itself, but sometimes I regret it... It's like the lost puppy situation... They just want to follow you home afterwards, but you really don't want a puppy, but you feel bad for abandoning them...

In Old Soviet Russia, you don't help noobs, noobs help you! But, seriously, I love giving them a hand. It makes you feel better knowing that there is a person there with no experience playing with their version of a pro, when rocking full legendary & exotic gear, scoring heaps of kills. Its fantastic.
