If I wanted a competitive mode in Destiny I would want:
Set weapons (no exotics) to choose from as in 1 shotgun 1 pulse rifle etc. Or possibly one of each archtype like 1 low impact AR and 1 high impact AR.
radar or no radar I don't really mind. No radar really empowers shotguns which is why I'd probably want a radar.
No heavy
No supers.
3 standard grenade types available to all classes. Maybe flashbang, incendiary, solar
No blink
Reduced aim assist
Limited special ammo.
Only the base 100 pts for a kill
I miss team oriented firefights that lasted longer than .104523 seconds lol

I want a lag free mode.

No radar takes away from shotguns, yes people can camp but teams can also work together to flank campers. I find that with radar, it gives the shotgunners the power to sprint into a room with the order of their kills already made up in their head.. as they already know where the enemies are and where to sprint.

I disagree but I hear your reasoning. Personally I never ADS unless I am shooting so I always have an eye on my radar and never get surprised because of that. With a radar I am always aware of someone coming within shotgun range and so they pose less of a threat with the element of surprise ruined.

I just feel like no radar is more competitive as you can coordinate strategies such as epic flanks and bait n' switches. Radar gives every player basically the general direction of where to shoot someone, with no radar they would also have to focus on covering their teammates and themselves at a moments notice. Its just an opinion, but meh :S

The reason I would want it in control is that practically every map in the playlist already strongly promotes shotgun play. If the maps were more similar to Bastion then I wouldn't want a radar.
