2 RepliesThey certainly don't that's why made this video so people can learn how to win control. Most people just go about thinking it's clash.
-
In iron banner? No. In regular crucible? Sometimes.
-
2 RepliesPeople were pressing for a 3rd point in just about all the games I played last night, to our detriment... I can't say the chaos of losing a nice lead and trying to prevent the subsequent loss wasn't fun though.
-
In my experience at least half the players don't capture a single point
-
They dont. Playing iron banner last night with randoms. The objective is grab two zones. You get double points for every kill or zone defended. Don't worry about the third zone. Had many games last night that where close and could have won if we had captured two zones
-
-
Nope. Just how it is
-
They do not. Really infuriating.
-
4 RepliesI hate when we're successful and some douchecanoe just has to charge/take the last point flipping the spawn unleashing mayhem. So many knuckleheads cannot grasp this is not CoD.
-
I hate it when I get stuck with a team in a Control match and I'm the only one actually capping zones. Go play Clash. Also, I've been playing competitively since Halo 2, and map control is everything.
-
majority of players in any game dont really understand the intricacies of objective based gameplay. its just easier to play 'kill the thing'.
-
I hate how most people don't play the objectives. You play the objectives and kills come with it and you win. Its simple and easy to do.
-
2 RepliesNo they don't because destiny is not really a game designed for competitive players. You start with all the weapons you want and have to fight over a crate once a match
-
5 RepliesSame thing I was wondering. People just go around capturing any point just because. I don't see how they don't understand that having control over an enemy's spawn location is very important. It makes a huge difference in the long run of the match. I think a big reason for this is that a lot of people only do PvP, especially IB, for the gear. They are mostly PvE players so they don't really understand exactly how map control works. That is fine, but it's annoying when you try to get them to understand but they won't listen until you lose over and over.
-
4 RepliesAnyone know when is the last day of the IB?
-
5 RepliesI scream into the microphone so often because of this. Do they not understand that you are not just capturing points but you are capturing a spawn? You can't hold both A and C wtf is wrong with you? Go for B and go for the spawn closest to B have one or two guys hang back on your spawn preferably C on almost every map and the other 4 should be assaulting B and if you see that your spawn is going down then a couple of those 4 should break off and defend it. So -blam!-ing stupid. I can't tell you many kills I end up feeding just because my team doesn't know what points they should focus on and I'm left to assault the positions on my own against the entire opposing team.
-
8 RepliesI find it happens a lot in Iron Banner. I think it's attributed to a lot of primarily PvE players going for gear.
-
To be completely honest, I thought that always taking all the positions was a good thing. Except I saw first hand every time it happened, bad things happened afterward. We lost. But after holding the two, it got more fun. You can take the foot off the gas when you have the two. I stopped getting so frustrated.
-
Every map usually has a much better control point than the other. Capture two points and camp next to each other and mow down the enemy.
-
Apparently not, but the IB bountys dont help they are all kill based. I know you can do both but some people wanna smash out all the bounties in a match or two.
-
1 ReplyMy team somehow disappears on me, so suddenly I'm trying to break their monopoly on the zones, I get swarmed, and they are nowhere to be found!
-
*spawn in enemy territory* "Why am I spawning here?" *sees dumbass capping A when we already have B and C* "Oh, that's why." :/
-
Biggest problem is not being able to tell your team of randoms which zone to cap cuz they don't have mics.
-
7 RepliesDoes anyone here play to have fun? I play to have fun... Sometimes that means I run into a room with 5 dudes to get obliterated by shotty's and sometimes I get a headshot, double stab a fool, double jump while sticking a guy with a grenade, and dash out like a boss leaving the other team going "WTF? Just happened!" In the wake of my triple kill. Why does everything have to be about the "optimal" way or always winning? Why can't people just be allowed to log in, run around a map, kill a few dudes, and call it a day?
-
lots of people don't cap points even if it's just a lousy 1 point, grab it and establish a foothold
-
what is this..."map control" you speak of?
