anybody seeing an insane amount of sexism on these forums?
i am a man. but i started playing in my wifes psn account, so i get the brunt of a lot of this.
what makes you think girls are bad at video games? my wife destroys me at every other game. i ran a strike with two women, and they dominated.
are you little boys just jealous girls are better than you? what is this, Colonial times?
it seems like people with girly or female PSN names are not even acknowledged let alone respected.
so why are so many people acting this way? just play the game! people WILL be better than you, and some of them will be girls.

I totally agree and I also have an issue with boys who think that if a girl plays games then she is going to be the hottest girl ever (I am not a girl)
-
Who cares
-
The thirst has taken over....these kids can't handle the impact of being thirsty
-
Oh shut it
-
Never seen it. :/
-
Basically teenage testosterone feuled dickheads who feel they are incredibly powerful, funny and tough through the anonymity of online games.

I think all girls are better at games than me. Like in dbx for example I was doing random parallel quests and a girl joined. We talked while we were doing the quest, sounded like your default blonde girl. I'm max level with really good moves on dbx and when we did the quest she asked me if I wanted to 1v1. I agreed. She wrecked me everytime out of like 12 times. I have yet to see a girl with less skill than that. I don't see why everyone thinks girls are bad at videogames.

Funny how I've never once encountered this in destiny.

I have never noticed any sexism. Must be a pan thing.
-
Because they are insecure, and insignificant.
-
Shut up Anita. That's just how 13 year old kids are they think the other gender is "yucky". It's nothing sexist, it's just how stupid little kids act.
-
Many people here are CoD heroes and have limited experience with forum trolls, but I see right through your charade my son. 0/5.

Thank you for letting me know I need to mute you! ,,, ,, , , \_/ Tears collected.

Oh what the -blam!- ever.... There's just as many suck ups and white knights as there are people who put them down. Hell most people do so just to piss off other dudes who drool at their -blam!-ing controller.

Edited by Shiloh Ivy: 5/3/2015 9:28:09 PMI've never. Ever. Ever. Seen any sexism of any kind in Destiny. I've played with many females and they were treated with the same respect as the male players. It's not 1960. Women are treated equally (if not better) than men in today's society.

Edited by Kratos: 5/3/2015 3:03:44 PMI never understand these posts. I'm a female and have been playing online for 5+ years (before that I only played single-player) and I have never felt that I was being harassed or looked down open cause I was a female. I've probably made over 1000 friends on PSN and met thousands of others in random lobbies and I still have never felt this. So IDK how these woman are being constantly put into these situations. Am I missing some variable here? People (including all the White Knights around here) always diss men online for being pervy and sexist and I have experienced the exact opposite. Actually the only time were I felt like I was being personally attacked was by a female.

I cannot stand people like that! My favourite destiny Youtuber is female and she is by far one of the best pvp players i have seen!

Your wife beats you in more than one way and you know it you pussy
-
I've never seen any overt sexism on the forums.

Edited by BrayerIncognito: 5/3/2015 6:19:38 AMI know right, there is some psychological aspects behind it. Some guys feel alienated by women because of their own social awkwardness and lack of female attention they receive. They end up spending their time playing games because they feel validated by them and by the other guys around them, who they can relate to. So when the women who have potentially shunned them or who they feel awkward around suddenly enter their private world, their man only club, they feel jealous and hostile towards them. They feel jealous because the female may attract more attention from their on line comrades simply because of her gender, causing more feelings of rejection in the person affected by this but this time by his own friends and not only from women in general. In a way, you can actually compare the reactions of men/boys on here to the same way some women react to a female threat or someone who could steal attention away from themselves. They get "bitchy", put them down, call them names, call them attention seekers etc. The reactions are very very similar.

Its a PSN thing. Along with squeakers running raids with no mics.

*grabs some popcorn* This will be a fun thread.

I smell a white knight who's wife probably wears the pants in the house

Apparently your wife stole your destiny forum account

What women lack in gaming ability they certainly make up in vacuuming skills
