Who wants matchmaking for Trials of Osiris?
For either answer, explain why
Edit: nice to see a good discussion for both points of view, keep the conversation going! Bump this so Bungie can have some feed back before releasing the dlc.
Edit2: Also, Answer this: Do you think people will stop playing the ToO once they get all the armor/guns that you can get from it? Or will Bungie add weekly incentives (alike Iron Banner) to keep 'em playing?

I said no first but then I thought about it more. If it's optional then it won't affect the premade teams. Unless they add so randoms vs. randoms or an ingame LFG. I can understand how people would say no to no matchmaking but I akso understand people would like to just play ToO. Which is a Hardcore Skirmish I will be putting on my sweat band on.

I have a feeling I won't be playing much of ToO.. I have a team and I don't mind LFG it's just after reading the notes from yesterday it doesn't sound like repeatable fun, to me.

I think it should stay non-matchmaking. Just look at the mess of iron banner.

No. You shouldn't be able to solo a raid, and you shouldn't be able to compete as an individual in a team-contest. (You [i]can[/i] solo Crota, I know)

I vote for matchmaking but they need to enforce voice. Getting a random from the tower, a random from a matchmaking site, or a random through matchmaking makes little difference. Pre-made teams will still win by pure organisation. Just stop making it harder than necessary to find a team. Equally it doesn't matter where the team originates as long as voice is forced they are just as likely to stick together. I hate how end game always has different rules to the rest of the game.

Why is everyone wigging about this?? It's not a party of 6, only 3! Can't find two friends?? Nobody is screaming for matchmaking in nightfalls or daily!

Imagine this. 1 organized team~Steamrolls 9 random teams~ gets rewards. Rewards become useless and common. It's not that different from normal crucible, and now that we can ascend normal legendaries, I don't know why people are upset about this. The argument used to be "I don't have enough friends to raid so I can't be at level cap!" What is the argument now? I can't get Egyptian armor? Guess what: neither can bad teams in the trials. It is meant to be a competitive success based reward. Meaning teams will have to win against another similarly organized team to get it. This may be destiny's first EARNED armor set. I am open to rebuttal, so please read and respond.

1 ReplyI understand reasons for no matchmaking, but if people want to play with randoms there is the recruitment forum and other lfg type groups/sites they can use to find teammates.

I understand why they decided not to add matchmaking, but like a previous poster stated I would like the option. I see no reason why matchmaking couldn't be optional for everything. Just make it an alternative selection when starting a game mode.

Steps to get a self made team .. 1.Fly to reef social hub or tower 2. Look at whoever is in the tower 3. Send friend request or game invite 4. Send message. "Wanna team up for ToO?" 5. Repeat steps 2-4 until you have self made a team for 3... Simple enough if you wanted to play with randoms .. There you go..

9 RepliesMatchmaking. It's 2015, on a console. There is zero excuse not to have matchmaking. Any argument used against matchmaking is via a vocal minority.

People keep asking and asking for matchmaking but honestly all it would bring is a bunch of trolls looking for their 5 seconds of YouTube fame. Either that or people you'd have to carry. Don't get me wrong I'm not against matchmaking but Destiny has always been a game about getting a group of friends and working together.

Also, no matchmaking improves the connection as most people clan up with other people from their own country. 3 people in one country playing 3 from another or the same country, rather than 6 random people from all over the world.

They said in the stream yesterday that there will only be matchmaking for finding enemies not friends
