For either answer, explain why
Edit: nice to see a good discussion for both points of view, keep the conversation going! Bump this so Bungie can have some feed back before releasing the dlc.
Edit2: Also, Answer this: Do you think people will stop playing the ToO once they get all the armor/guns that you can get from it? Or will Bungie add weekly incentives (alike Iron Banner) to keep 'em playing?

Edited by LiamCDM: 4/30/2015 10:55:40 PMTOO is a hardcore PvP gamemode. It's for the best of the best and matchmaking would be terrible. No matchmaking is good. If you want in an depth reason why look at Basil.
-
Good god no
-
It would be too easy with matchmaking. I wouldn't lose. Iron banner is easy enough
-
I thought it was like iron banner?
-
You dies you're out, have to buy backnin. Don't want randoms without mics ruining this for me.
-
I certainly would not want a random on my team that sucks balls and just dies all the time.
-
Would love match making, being a mediocre pvp player I would love to get 2 other friends and pub stomp unorganized teams ;-)
-
I really don't see matchmaking adding that much and I'd vastly prefer going in with people that are at my own skill level, best connection matching won't facilitate that.
-
Let us do it if we wanna get wrecked, what difference does it make to Bungie? Just make it so only 3 party teams get matched with 3 man party teams. Frustrating.
-
None of my fellow gaurdians play pvp
-
All these "I don't want noobs without a mic ruining my game" comments are a -blam!-ing joke. If you have a group of guys you're going to run with, what does it matter if there's matchmaking or not? You won't be using it. So STFU.
-
Couldn't care less. I'd never enter trials without a pre-made team. Not gonna let horrible random hurt me any more than they already have.
-
I just don't have friends that are consistently on
-
Quit bitching about everything is just a game grow up
-
Have you played pvp before? I don't want scrub being matching against a team of three.
-
Edited by gilded_hotdog: 5/1/2015 12:12:37 PMI don't understand why there can't be a pregame lobby to find groups. You can talk to each other and check stats and mutually agree to go for a run.
-
Matchmaking would be bad as people don't use the fireteam chat and there would be no communication and against good teams there would be no chance. I just wish it was easier to find people to run with, I'm not that great but I still want to play trials of osiris
-
Easiest way for people who are for match making to understand. Play 5 games of skirmish with 5 random teams. Once you come up against a pre-made fireteam of 3, tell me how fun it is. I'm always running events with my clan but when I play normal crucible solo against any team, rage ensues rather quickly.
-
Where's the option for " I don't care"?
-
Edited by RedDragonJedi: 5/1/2015 3:48:09 AMI do. Because I won't be stupid enough to use it and I want to play against morons who are.
-
Too many baddies to trust matchmaking
-
I've been so excited for ToO! It's just to bad, because none of my friends are a high enough level to play with!
-
The match making already sucks in regular crucible. I don't want to be paired with terrible players for something that matters.
-
I don't understand things I guess. How would it be so hard to do this: Match randoms with ranoms to go against randoms Match teams with teams
-
Somebody, somewhere...
-
It's just like the raid matchmaking argument. Everybody is forgetting that people can't join a full Fireteam. I think that if you don't have a team, you should be matched up against randoms and if you do have a team, you should be matched against another team
