Alright. I can understand where you're getting at. Although I did find the show really enjoyable. I didn't mind the character deaths, keep in mind that I watch Fairy Tail, where no one dies at all, so it was a good change of pace. Also, I'll check out Madoka Magica.

Even if you're not sure if you like Madoka Magica, just keep watching till you finish episode 3.

WHY ARE YOU SIPPING TEA BRAHHHHHH
-
Because tea reminds me of Akame ga Kill. And I love Akame ga Kill. *sips tea*
Are you going to take the b8 m8?
-
I would, but I know you're lying because tea represents class and refinement, so it can't remind you of Akame ga Kill.
-
I'm drinking black tea. Black=Dark=Akame ga Kill. *sips tea*
-
Dark things can be refined. For example, Bloodborne. Not Akame ga Kill.
-
You mean Loading Screen: The Game? Yeah I've heard of it. Doesn't seem very refined. *sips tea*
-
You mean the load screens that got patched? Anything else you think the game fails at?
-
Whoops, I forgot about your existence. To resume our irrelevant argument in life, I don't care about Bloodborne, so I'm not going to start a discussion on that. Think of something else. *sips tea*

AKA you know I'm right, so you're just gonna casually change the subject and hope I don't notice.
-
I am asking you to change the subject. I personally don't care if the subject stays the same. In the meantime, let me ask you something. The Imperial Arms. They are not cliché by any means. It sets the premise quite well, in my opinion.
-
You're basically saying weapons is what the show does well. Every anime has interesting weapons. Even non-fighting anime like Psycho Pass, which has a gun that blows people up.
-
I am saying that it is one of the things they do well. Also, it doesn't matter that a lot of other animes have interesting weapons. Some animes don't even have any weapons, but that's not what makes the show great. One more things about the Imperial Arms is that it sets a tone to one of the plot points. Just like how in Gurren Lagann--Which I highly recommend over Akame ga Kill--the Mechas set a tone to the main plot.
