Dual wielding hand cannons?
has anyone considered the possibility of dual wielding hand cannons? that only bring up one issue i can think of,
would you rather sacrifice grenades and or melee for dual wielding, or wielding two hand cannons at maybe 2/3 - 3/4 damage?

5 Repliesyesss but it should take up your special and primary it should also be an exotic that way you couldn't completely own people the gun would have duel damage types and would have almost no recoil and high firerate but it would take a hit to damage greatly and yoy wouldn't be able to zoom with them so in summary the gun would be an exotic that would take up your special and primary and it would have to damage types and almost no recoil but would do far less damage then any hand cannon would

Double Dragons. There is Concept art for just the thing you are looking for. It looked like the Thorn but with Bones (Arhamkara) instead of metal. One was Solar the other was Arc. One was put on you secondary, the other in your primary. (The name might have been Dual Dragons)

9 RepliesI mean, a guardian maybe. But you? no -blam!-ing way. Those hand cannons would both recoil back and smack you in the face. That only works in the movies where they used squib loads. Shit, the Punisher dual wielded 1911s with accuracy. No way you can dual wield hand cannons.

I have thought of another issue it might bring up. There is already enough pant pissing over hand cannons as it is. Largely by those who blame the duns who killed them for being more powerful than a paper weight. The grunting and blaring will be deafening if they went to dual wielded.

It's be cool if they created a new special weapon as the duelly HCs, make them their own gun instead of rocking two thorns or TLWs.

Should be an Exotic perk for a Gauntlet(s). I say it should allow us to use both Thorn and Last Word together, because according to Grimoire legends, Rose, and Last Word were rivaling weapons. If Rose had been wielded by another Hunter the rivalry could've taken a more romantic turn, but instead it became bloody when Rose's wielder betrayed the wielder of the Last Word and killed him. Rose from that day forth became known as, Thorn. It would be nice if an Exotic gauntlet allowed Thorn and Last Word to reunite and become the romantic pair they were meant to be.

1 ReplyAs an exotic...yes. The only issue would be grenades. Unless they were both we equipped with mini elemental damage (pick a flavor) plasma grenade launchers...with each doing 50% damage of a normal grenade and possessing a cool down period to recharge.

An exotic gun(s) that is a dual set. Hip fire only. (Bolts of the Dual Ahamkara)

I wouldn't mind one set of Exotics or Legendary's, whether hand cannons or duel smgs like Halo, but just one, like a player option. Overall I don't think akimbo would work for Destiny.

Sure. If they added: 1) Increased time for using grenades and melee (since you have to holster a gun). 2)No aiming down sights (LT fires left gun RT fires right) That would be cool! :)

dear god no <.< dual thorns? yeah, no thanks an alternate idea is a duel hand cannon exotic. two weapons in one. Standard handcannon stats but both are tied to the trigger button and alternate shots. This way it is "dual wielding" in looks alone. It would still function like a single handcannon. Having two hand cannon would be broken as hell. Might as well let us duel wield a rocket launcher and a machine gun while were at it. Settle down there Salvador! (upvote if u get the reference)
