Yes, all legendary gear will be able to get you to level 34 (the new level cap)
Same goes with exotics
Incentive for IB will probably just be for the fun and for the weapons

I can't remember the exact cost, but I'm sure gaining extra level and rerolling weapons isn't cheap to do

I'm not sure how I feel about that, it was somewhat satisfying knowing you went the extra mile to get to 32. Meh, I try not to think about playing this game for just for the gear. I have a countless amount of hours logged with the Halo series, most of which are for Halo 2. I had so much fun playing that frickin' game. No weapons or armor to whine about, just winning and losing.

Well we don't know yet about the official OP cap, higher lvl may come in a patch after HoW or with the Raid that will eventually drop for it. As for IB, it will still be worth playing to get the actual new gear, but also reforge you weapons. Sure you can upgrade them, but it looks like they were saying you can only reforge DLC purples with the gunsmith.

I agree with what you're saying. It definitely was a grind to get to 32. But I think what they're doing is good. Since all legendary gear will get you to 34, everyone will finally look different. We won't all look the exact same because we're wearing all the same gear. I think the iron banner gear could actually still be very good, because it'll give certain roles that could play a good part in crucible (intellect, discipline, strength, hand cannon reload speed, etc.)
