Simply solution. Let us trade drops, and only drops, among the fireteam members at the time of the activity completion. Doesn't up the loot table and grinding is still necessary then

Drop trading is the ONLY way for trading to work.

That's exactly what I think. Maybe they will listen.

-
Yeah, let's leave it at no trading. It's not needed
-
What would be the problem as at most that would be 5 people? If what they received for the drop isn't something you would want don't trade it. I was trying to present an option. I'll assume you have something better then?

Bungie creates some sort of strange currency that you can earn through events and possibly when you decrypt an engram. Then on the weekends a vendor could show up with exotic weapons and sells them for this strange currency. This way people have a chance every week to aquire a new exotic. Xur is Bungie's answer to weapon trading! People complain that Xur ruins the game and cheapens the value of exotics, but then cry out that we need weapon trading! I don't get it.
-
But that's not an idea...

I don't complain about Xur I think it's awesome. Helps people who have bad RNG luck and busy IRL lives.
