Shotty tier damage without needing to get overly close. If you struggle to track your enemies or cant pop out of cover and snap to target after pre-charging, then yeah you'll struggle to get the best out of these things.
Guess you'll just have to pop heads with a sniper, or run n gun with a shotty. What a shame eh? ;)

Shotty does way more dps, and so does hand cannon at medium range, I just see no reason to ever use fusion rifles, they just don't put the dps out there according to the hit numbers I'm seeing.
-
They arent really a DPS weapon IMO. More for blowing chunks out of stuff/stripping shields from a relatively safe distance. You can always swap back to your Hand Cannon if you feel you need more DPS after removing shields. As I briefly mentioned though, its all about anticipation and timing. Plan C can insta-charge shortly after a swap (a nasty trick to have up your sleeve in the crucible when you consider its potential OHK range) and Pocket Infinity is an absolute monstrosity in Rumble. Well, if your anticipation game is on point, the charge time is painful haha. Get it firing though and it might as well be called Pocket Winfinity *slaps thigh*

yea I had the pocket infinity but broke it down cause on full auto it didn't hit anything twice, lol! I've never been killed by it either, hand cannons are king, hand cannon, shotgun, rocket launcher and heavy machine gun are all you need in this game. Was trying to snipe a guy on control dead sectors from sniper rifle range and he snipped me with a hand cannon first, they need a nerf if he wasn't cheating, I could barely find him in my scope, lol

The secret to Pocket Infinity is perfect balance. That makes it laser accurate, and you usually get 5 bursts. 3 normally does the job though.
-
Yea, I forget what settings I had, larger magazine maybe,
-
Probably. I did that too at first. Then I tried perfect balance and wound up spending about 5 rumble matches in hysterics LOL
-
Might have to get it again, I been turning them all into shards, lol, still I've never been killed by one but dont play much rumble. The special ammo changes probably ruined this weapons usefulness though, you'd be out of ammo too fast

Yup! Invective is probably the better pick now...
