Depends. I don't snipe because I am not a good one. The problem is that true team snipers are a minority 1% of snipers, ie those who do true control point denial and suppress zones. Most snipers are just KD padding wastes of space who don't help with control points etc. So, genuine team focused sniper, go for it. Waste of team slot sniper, don't bother playing.
