There's just something about the look and feel of Anime, and the clean-ness, vibrant colors and attention to detail and shininess and fluidness in coloring, and Japanese aura and flaire to Anime. The 2D-ness, kind of brings an artistic flaire and unique atmosphere too sometimes.
Video games look so bland and boring in comparison.
Espically Battlefield and Call of Duty, those games look kind of ugly.
Can anyone explain why the vast majority think video games look prettier than Anime?
Cause logically Anime has more of things that people would find visually pleasing, espically if you read my first sentence. So it makes no sense to me, why most people actually think video games look prettier.
Espically since video games don't normally have very appealing colors.

God damn dirty weeaboo trash

Because the lack of gray in anime burns my eyes

Modern videogames do include bland color variations imo. I'd like to see much more purples and pinks. c: Animes are prettier!

Edited by Mythic Wyatt: 4/22/2015 8:45:34 PMYou do realize that what you find visually appealing is not the same for others, right?

9 RepliesIs this a serious post? Did you ever stop to think about the fact that maybe, just maybe, people voted video games because... wait for it... They simply don't like anime as much as you do? Shocking, I know. Your argument is literally opinion on top of opinion. It basically boils down to: "Anime is logically pretty because it's pretty." It's your opinion, and you are certainly entitled to it. But to me, anime looks stupid. No matter how much color you add, it doesn't make a difference to me. Black and white anime and colorful anime look equally ridiculous to me. But that's my opinion! It doesn't mean any more than yours does.
Inb4 "Whatever" response
10 Replies>compares gritty war games to colorful cartoons >forgets to mention games that are specifically meant to look good >uses personal opinion in argument >compares 2 different artistic mediums using the same biased criteria >this is why people disagree

1 ReplyIt's all based on style, obviously a war game is gonna look ugly compared to a an anime like Fairy Tail or something, it all depends on genre and style.

7 RepliesYou should give Lollipop Chainsaw and some of the Final Fantasy games a go. They might be just what you're looking for.

Appleseed Ex Machima has such crazy graphics

I can appreciate a well drawn animation. Some anime bring a unique style that sadly is being lost to digital animation. That being said, comparing anime to FPS's and whatnot is like apples and oranges, either can be good or bad.

2 RepliesAll of this is personal bias. Just like everyone else's opinion on this subject.

5 RepliesGo play Final Fantasy XV, Dragon's Dogma, Bloodborne, or Dark Souls 2 with some graphics mods, and if you're still feeling that way, its obvious your thread was pointless and you're never going to see why people find video games more visually grasping and appealing than drawings.

1 ReplyAs art, both are pretty, but the question is why people find either more attractive than real life.

21 RepliesAnime has a restricted art style, whereas video games can be all over the board, from cartoonish (Borderlands), to hyper realistic (Battlefield), to impressionistic (Skyward Sword), to your beloved anime-esque animation (Pokemon).
