So I raided with a squeaker last night.
Joined a group last night to run VOG on hard. We are waiting on the last guy and behold its a squeaker. Now I am not biased against players due to age. Age does not determine skill.
So the leader takes us in and everything is going smoothly... Then it starts. I swapped my gloves over to a pair with hand cannon loader and dropped to 31. Almost immediately I hear kick him, kick the 31 he wants to be carried. Never mind he [b]is a 31[/b]. I told him light level does not matter in VOG Hard as long as your 30. He says it does and still says kick me. The leader tells him to shut up. So we get to confluxes and he dies right away. He says that no one is shooting the templar so that is why he died.
I explained that the Templar is immune when the shield is up. He tells me that he got sword breaker from him by killing him with the shield up.... [spoiler]WTF[/spoiler]
Then when we get to the Gorgon chest he got gjallahorn.... After being dead most of the raid. I know I know rng blah blah it still sucked

I don't care about age but if you keep asking questions and I say chill, and you pause for 5 seconds then continue, and this goes on several times, we may have a problem. A couple younger kids knew I was very good at PvP and would non stop spam msg me asking to play all the time. I would try to be polite but it eventually gets extremely annoying. I would eventually message them saying if they sent another I would remove and block them. Lets just say they are no longer an issue.

I did crota easy with a squeaker two days ago I swear the crota fight starts he runs out of the crystal room to crota when he has one hit left and does his FOH (doesn't do jack shit) and he dies and we have to wipe. He was all "WHAT!?!? But my super should've killed him" [spoiler]we kicked him right before we killed crota :P[/spoiler]

True story incoming. About 5 months ago I joined a Crota raid and it had a legit 10 year old squeeker as fire team leader. At first I thought "oh -blam!-, this is gonna suck" but it didnt. Turns out this 10 year old was quiet, polite and god damn good at this game. He surprised all of us with his 10 year old badassness. He was our sword bearer and ran it like a pro. It was unreal. Needless to say I put that little kid on my friends list and will raid with him anytime. Not all of these squeekmiesters are loud, obnoxious assholes. Some of them are actually alright.

1 ReplyI don't mind squeakers seeing as I used to be one (I'm 20) and know the struggle of being kicked just because of your age. On the other hand however, I was a pretty mature kid back when I first played on the 360 and many people didn't mind playing with me. It's all about how you act and if you can play a game that requires you to work together well.

3 RepliesNot exactly a raid, but me and my friends decided to screw around in skirmish and do the suicide trick, where we get a higher score and then commit suicide until the match ends so the opponents can't get any points. Now, I know this was cheap but it was normal crucible and we don't do it regularly. What was hilarious was the reactions. About halfway through a game, we started getting spammed with many curses and other obscenities, and one of the people on their team left the game. Soon after that, we had someone join our party. It was the guy that left, and he had the highest pitched voice is ever heard. My friends and I rolled on the floor with laughter as our earpieces were filled with his high pitched screams as he called us a rather impressive assortment of colorful names. I later sent him a friend request to laugh at him more. I had to turn my phone off to stop it vibrating.

I did a nightfall with a squeaker once. It wasn't that they were too bad, they just didn't shut up the entire strike. Literally all the strike, the only time they would stop talking was when we interrupted him to talk. He wasn't a dick or anything, just would not shut up. My ears hurt by the end of it. As for best, I honestly don't know. I've met a lot of awesome people on Destiny, none of them really stands out as being the best player I've raided with or anything. Maybe the one guy who first showed me through vog way back, he just took a team of 5 of us who never did it before with him. Not so much that he was the best player or anything, he certainly wasn't, but he was an awesome guy none the less.

I raided with a squeaker. Wasted crota on hard mode as. Lvl 33 in two swords easily. Im 37 and not good with the sword so I respect people regardless of age if they show they can play and they are not annoying in chat.

4 RepliesI'm 14 but don't have that deep of a voice, I consider myself a decent player because I'm usually better than most adults/other teenagers. I get called a squeaker a lot but I don't get kicked because I just stop talking and kick ass.

The best person I raided with one sworded crota hard with current patch. I thought it was impossible to do with the altered mechanics.

Sucks that a select few people who play Xbox and are young give everyone with a higher voice a label haha. That's not everyone. :)

The best people that I've raised with weren't actually very good lol! We did crota run on hard and then with our Alts we ran it a second time, both times were fairly quick and went without a problem but then we decided to run VoG on hard. We were stuck on Templar for hours, but I honestly enjoyed talking with them and joking around. We ended up giving up for the night but I haven't played with them since :(

I completely avoid playing with squeakers because I have a younger brother and cousin(who are both the same age) who annoy the heck out of me when it comes to video games.

I'm a squeaker myself but I know how to do raids and I don't question other people. I don't mind playing with others as long as they can listen and not try to tell us what to do

Some of the kids I've teamed up with on strikes and LFG have been pretty decent. Yeah they are pretty talkative with high pitched voices but as long as they can contribute to the effort then I don't really mind them. However, playing with them makes me think to myself "oh god, I hope I wasn't this annoying as a kid." And not to mention they can get pretty clingy too. Always shooting me party and fireteam invites when I'm soloing. And never sending a message saying why they need me either. >.<
