What sort of sub class should I go for on a titan

If you prefer a more supporting role, protecting your team, providing much needed buffs, and producing an overshield that will mitigate some damage you take for a period of time, then go defender. I recommend striker for missions where protecting your team isn't a top priority (Strike playlist, story missions, weekly heroic) Defender is better in Raids, and nightfalls. This is where defender really shines. Protecting teammates from devastating attacks, providing weapons of light for killing atheon, and Ward of Dawn is an excellent enemy distractor in Crota's End.

Both. Start with the one you like after it is maxed, switch to the other when cashing in bounties. Before long you will have both maxed.

Definitely get both depending on the situation its good to have options. Personally I like playing the defender so far.

1 ReplyDepends on the situation. You should get both maxed as soon as possible for the most versatility, but I'd start with Defender if you're a PvE player because it's more helpful for your team.

I suggest that you unlock both upgrades as you play. Both sub-classes have their pros and cons in every PVP/PVE situation.

2 RepliesBoth have their utility in a situation. Striker is excellent for damage dealing and solo play. Its a fighting class with plenty of good perks. Defender is excellent for team play and even keeping yourself safe from damage. The benefits of blessing and weapons of light can spread to teammates, so this class is a sort of support class. All in all it depends on your specific style of play. If you play more by yourself, try striker. If you play more with teams, try defender. Always be sure to try and raise them both.
