The Seven7h Column is the loyalist fan club, the true community, the secret army of the once great and powerful Bungie. We are the elite! (aparently now obselite [intentional spelling error])
When Bungie takes over the world, we are the foot soldiers! They promised us Pizza!
Basically it's the Bungie fan community- distinguished from the various fan communities that revolve solely around the games by a general admiration for Bungie, the culture surrounding our community and internally at Bungie Towers, as well as a general love for well crafted juvenile humor.

I was promised cake once...but the cake was a lie...be careful where you put your loyalty
-
Loyalty was once prized and respected here, and those of us who were loyal were rewarded. For some of us now, we never truly left the darkness that was Bungie- pre-Destiny.

I only played Halo offline (3, ODST, REACH), so I missed all the forum hype. From what I hear, Bungie.net has lost its intricate, veteran culture. Care to enlighten me on some cultural aspects of said Golden Age b.net? (Laser wars?)

You can still check out the old site and see what the fuss is about. You'll have to dig through a lot of posts about the transition to the new site, but the community stuff is still there. Note: I linked directly to the community subforum, there are several other subforums there as well that you can still browse through.

Much appreciated. I remember being only to play Halo online (from the promo xbox live code) once or twice only. It was...just so different from my offline experience. Getting legendary completion on every level couldn't compare to vehicle mow downs with the rest of your squad.

I'm still waiting for the pizza

They also promised us a steak, but that seems to be missing, too.

I want that pizza

Ahh, cool. I played most of the Halos. At one point I bought an Xbox 360 just to play Halo. Secret army, sign me up. I am gonna stick around and see what it's like. I am certainly a fan of Destiny and have found myself becoming more and more intrigued by Bungie's approach to gaming, interaction with fans, transparency, and public relations. What do you think Bungie means about their Tweet today?
-
Not sure about the tweet tbh. I'm similar to you- I purchased two generations of Xbox consoles almost exclusively because of Bungie and Halo. Glad you are enjoying Destiny though! Keep up with the quality posts and buck the trend of newer members my friend!
