Hack moon? Really? You realise the 1 hit kill chance on a hawkmoon is 0.22% when fully loaded right? It's only a 37.14% chance of a two shot kill when fully loaded. Thorn is always a 2 headshot kill with a faster fire rate. I use thorn and love it. I also know it is overly powerful when compared to most other exotic primaries. RIP Suros. People like to win, therefore they use Thorn. Lots of People using Thorn makes lots of people cry on the forums. Blame bungie for making the majority of other exotics useless in comparison.

  • Yeh I don't see those changes making much of a difference. Increasing the fire rate on TLW would make it insane. Plus improved stability and range and impact?? Stacking burns would also be interesting on thorn. Broken, but interesting. So two different people using thorn would both have a dot ticking on the same guy if they shot him? Balance is not something Bungie seem too interested in with regards to exotics. They are meant to stand out. IMO if anything is going to happen to HC it will be an across the board adjustment :(

  • TLW is close quarters spray and reload, simply would kill most fast and would fit the gun the best since its perk increases the range while hip firing anyway the thorn would take the biggest hit as it loses around 10 impact get a little more range, stability, and reload at the cost of its burn damage only doing (5*5)*9 = 225 and stacking meeting the full burn potential instead of having to wait for the burn the older version had instead (7*6)*9 = 378 burn. comparatively we lose out on 378 - 225= 153 damage from the older version hence the need for more accuracy and reloading often. the hawk moon needed another thing going for it than blind luck so we changed the motive to more of a desert eagle standard with the performance bonus perk you almost certainly will have ammo for a while, the reduction on rounds reflects the loss of luck in the chamber as 2 out of 13 is not a fair roll because thats a 2 out of 6 chance of happening so reduce the rounds give a little more reload and now you have a 2 out of 5 chance of getting lucky bullets and not struggle to reload i think i did the math correctly and these changes seem fair
