So I'd really like the Crux of Crota so I can upgrade my Eidolon Ally. What's time frame for fighting Crota on Hard? Do I really need to be level 32 to beat Crota on Hard? Any tips or info would help as I hope to tackle Crota on hard either tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks!
*Edit 1: So bugs seems to be the biggest plague eh? Saying I must suck because you can beat the raid it 20 minutes is rude. Check yourself before you wreck yourself. Sorry that some people feel the need to be SocialJusticeWarriors.
*Edit 2: Since people feel the need to comment on how long it took for me to beat Crota twice in a day I removed it. It was kind of irrelevant anyway. There are reason Raids can run long, like people rage quitting, people trying to do glitches, and so on. So I just plain removed it.

3 RepliesIf you aren't wearing pants when you start you'll be fine. I never raid with pants. If you started with pants and take them off at the bridge you can probably still do it, this has yet to be confirmed. I will ask my beer. EDIT: Bridge pant removal will not work.

Not hard

Easy mode normal mode

Well we 2 awarded Crota on hard with this legend of a sword bearer and there was 3 31s
-
1 ReplyI've been into teams with 30s in hard mode. I really can't see why you need to be level 32 to do hard mode.
-
If u have a group that knows what theyre doing u can do the crota part in 15 min. If u dont know what ur doing 3 hours
-
Not hard at all if you aren't with a team of douchbags , communication and listening is key.
-
3 maybe 4.
-
A good sword bearer and communication is key to beating the raid as far as concerned.
-
Not that hard but I've only done it 3 times lol
-
Not hard at all I do it three times a week every week.
-
2 RepliesNot really hard just -blam!-ING BUGGY AS HELL CROTA JUST WALKS INTO CRYSTAL ROOM, OGRE ROOM AND THE SWORD DISSAPEARS

If you can find an entire group that knows the same strategy, that helps immensely. Also, YouTube is your friend.
-
I honestly think it's about the same as normal. Just takes a bit longer to kill stuff due to them being higher level.
-
The hardest part is finding good teammates.
-
If you are trying to do the Hard Raid from a fresh start, plan for an hour. If you have a solid team you could be done a whole lot sooner, or if you just have a plain horrible team or encounter a lot of glitches with Crota, it could take you a lot longer. I have finished a fresh run through in about 25 minutes before with a solid full team of 32's with the correct weapons. we took longest on the bridge because we did a cheese strategy instead of going legit just cause we could.

Edited by Novastone: 4/7/2015 8:59:23 PMCrota takes 15 mins its easy. & I usually run sword two any class

its not.

If u have me as a sword bearer u can be lvl 42 and we will kill him

It's not hard as long as your team is good. Now on that note I must have to tell you never let a 31 run sword it's so stupid. I joined a group earlier everyone except one Hunter was 32. I thought ok this should be easy. So as our 3rd wipe comes around I wonder what's wrong then see our 31 Hunter was running sword. I asked the 32 Hunter why he wouldn't run sword only reason was because he never had before.I literally couldn't help but wonder what the other players were thinking letting him run sword.I just shook my head and departed no help for those souls .

cake.

The bugs can slow you down, but most of them are caused by connection issues. If everyone has a good connection then bugs won't account for very many wipes. It should take between 30 min to an hour with a decent team. As far as difficulty it's really not that hard. All bungie did to make it harder is raise enemy level and change a few of them from red to yellow bar. But all that does is make them take longer to kill. Not harder, just more painstaking. The abyss is exactly the same. Hunters can still solo it easily. Speed is key. Don't bother killing things if you don't have to just rush through it. Everybody cheeses the bridge. You won't find a team on lfg that's willing to do it legit. Deathsinger is the same except the time before she starts the liturgy is reduced. Crota is the same except if you kill boomers a wizard spawns (so don't kill them) and of course there's no chalice. All you need is a helmet with the perk that lets you regen health when you pick up orbs. Vendors sell them and they drop like candy during roc strikes. It doesn't matter if it drops you down a level or 2, you only need to wear it for a second. Also you should have a tracking rocket launcher. Without one its a bit harder but still do-able.

Have you seen hell on earth?

CE hard mode is a joke you should be at least 31 or your just asking to be carried well ur asking at 31 to be carried so w/e 's it's on you. Your gaming XP your choice to be a legend or a carried bitch ither way idgaf

It's super simply, and if you have a good internet connection you never have the bugs happen(if you are hosting) If you aren't the host just go to orbit switch hosts and all the bugs go away. It's been months since I have seen a raid bug in either raid and I have NEVER had an animal error code since launch.

It's buggy and the enemies are bullet sponges.
