ATS/8 ARACHNID Buff, Must Read! edit!
My idea is to either supplement the zoom perk on the helm (or replace entirely) with bonus precision damage with your golden gun.
This wouldn't affect pvp at all but it would make this helm quite useful in the pve world.
And it is also in line with the core idea behind the helmet in the first place:
"Advanced tactical sensorium. Induced hallucinations integrate broad-spectrum targeting data."
I like the look of this helm but can't really justify using it in any situation, as my other exotic hunter armor pieces are much more useful.
As of now it's completely pointless to go for precision hits with the golden gun, which i think plays against the role of the hunter. A perk that adds the precision damage potentially doubling the total dps would make this helm quite viable, without game-breaking mechanics (**cough saint-14, **cough obsidian mind).
could be cool gaurdians!
Bump if you like the idea, or comment your own ideas on exotics that could use a tweak!
EDIT: ok saint-14 isn't "gamebreaking" but it is an example of an exotic perk that has a very large impact on the gameplay.

The problem is the is always going to be a slightly less useful exotic. That's just how it works. If this one gets a buff another becomes bottom of the pile and thus needs a buff. It's a vinous cycle.

Maybe a toggling zoom mechanic that can be used at any time or a lock on ability that triggers when you ADS or even a perk to highlight eight enemies!

Being able to kill targets at that range would be interesting. Pointless right now. EDIT: Obsidian Mind isn't broken. Only effective in pve. Waaaay better options in pvp.

Yeah, I totally agree with golden gun having precision damage in general, or [i]at least[/i] an exotic perk as you mentioned. It's pretty useless/underpowered on anything that it doesn't already one shot kill.

It should have the zoom kept but, have the subclass perk 'Over the horizon' and 'bonus accuracy' or 'keyhole' perk added to the helmets perk like helm of inmost light allowing other perks to used aswell. Would make it viable.

This should take place of the fourth shot because you can wisely use your three shots. Then my OP wish it would be this ability(lol) is that or it can make your radar temporarily a mini map giving you full location of everybody[spawn killing with gg]. All in all I agree this helm does suck and is utterly useless, achlyophage all the way for golden-gun.
