Exotic "Look-a-like" Legendary Guide

This is a list i have compiled with some help from fellow guardians of Exotic look-a-likes for when you want to hold two exotics but can't. Of course most of there special perks won't be the same but similar stats, burns, and other perks make these legendaries very close to some exotics. ALSO i avoided putting in too many chance roll weapons and stuck more to raid, ib, or perks to look out for. Don't forget to favorite so you can return later, and comment with any others i may have missed. PRIMARIES: AUTO RIFLES: 1)Suros Regime - Abyss defiant (pve + pvp), Galahad-E w/ focused fire (pvp only) -AD has focused fire and perfect balance leading to a very manigable low fire rate high damage auto rifle worthy of a mini suros Galahad-E with the right perks is just like SR in pvp but since it has 242 damage i would avoid in pve. 2)Hard Light - Up For Anything (pve + pvp) -UFA has high fire rate low impact, glass half full, and has the same stats as to Hard Light making it a perfect fit as a legendary Hard Light. 3)Monte Carlo - Atheon's Epilogue (pve + pvp), Up For Anything (pve + pvp) - IMO i think MC shouldn't be replaced because the only thing it really has going for it is its exotic upgrade in addition to claws or two throwing knives. but AE similarly to Hard Light fits the profile. HAND CANNONS: 1) Hawk Moon - Red Hand (pvp + pve), Timer's Lash(pve) - Red Hand is a great all around hand cannon that is a rolled drop but its base stats are high enough that if you get 1 or 2 good perks its a worthy substitute especially if you get "luck in the chamber". TL is rerollable through iron banner and can get very close to Hawkmoon in terms of damage and rounds and rat of fire. with ward of dawn's weapons of light a timers lash can two shot headshot like Hawkmoon. 2) Thorn -Word of Crota (pve + pvp) - WofC like thorn is a high rate of fire low impact hand cannon, Thorn's draw is its DOT which no other Hand Cannon can offer but explosive rounds does offer some extra damage. 3) The Last Word - Nothing - TLW is pvp only and nothing come close to its close range power. FATEBRINGER: although not listed as a sub for any handcannons Fatebringer's perks make it close to an exotic weapon on its own as the only handcannon to have firefly. in pve it is a worthy sub for any hand as it outputs massive damage with firefly, explosive rounds, high impact, and arc damage. SCOUT RIFLES: 1) Mida Multi-Tool - Fang of Ir Yut (pve +pvp) -Fang is a fast fire heavy hitting 331 scout rifle with third eye, this is essentially Mida without the added movement but Fang offers an added Arc burn as a primary. PULSE RIFLES: 1) Red Death - Nothing - Red death perk is irreplaceable (besides for infusion on armor) so i can't really pick a weapon to replace it. 2) Bad JuJu - Oversoul Edict (pve + pvp) , Praedyth's Timepiece (pve + pvp) - BAD JUJU'S PERK IS IT MAIN DRAW BUT THESE COME CLOSE WITHOUT IT. OE has a fast fire rate, managable recoil, full auto, and decent mag mirroring Bad JuJu with the bonus Arc damage. PT has basically the exact same stats as OE but offers more damage instead of full auto, once again offering Arc damage. OTHERS: 1) Universal Remote - Fellwinter's lie (pve +pvp) - UR is hard to replace with it being a primary but Fellwinter's can often match its damage output. 2) No Land Beyond - ANY LEGENDARY SNIPER (pve +pvp) - I think you know why. SPECIALS: SHOTGUNS: 1) Invective - Found Verdict (pve + pvp) - Full Auto, Similar range and impact, and fast reload and fire rate make FV a perfect choice, but you do Arc rather than Solar damage. 2) 4th Horseman - Found Verdict (pve + pvp) - Full Auto, better range and impact, and fast reload and fire rate make FV a Better choice, but they both do Arc damage. SNIPERS: 1) Patience and Time - Praedyth's Revenge (pve + pvp), LDR (pve + pvp) - PR has faster fire rate, almost mirror impact, higher stability and reload. You sacrafise third eye and invisibility (not really useful anyway) and Arc damage for Void. LDR's can roll with Arcf if you need it but they have more impact but less rate of fire. 2) Ice Breaker - Black Hammer (pve + pvp) - these two are identical but IB has more recoil and has infinite ammo while BH has "infinate" ammo if you land your shots, BTW they both have Solar damage. FUSION RIFLES: 1) Plan C - Light of the Abyss (pve + pvp) - Faster base charge rate, 7 rounds nice impact and good stability, and Arc damage makes LotA a great sub for Plan C. 2) Pocket Infinity - Praetorian Foil (pve + pvp) - PF has faster charge rate, higher impact, longer range, higher stability than PI and they both have Solar burn. IMO Pocket Infinity isn't all that great in either pve or pvp but PF is a really good fusion rifle so i would say PF > PI. HEAVY: ROCKETS: 1) Gjallarhorn - Hunger of Crota (pve + pvp) - Hunger is by far the best sub for GHorn with Solar damage, similar stats in every way, tracking and cluster bombs mimicing Ghorn in a lot of ways earning it a rep as a "mini Gjallerhorn". DO NOTE THAT GJALLERHORN IS 1 OF THE TOP 3 WEAPONS IN THE GAME SO HUNGER OF CROTA WON'T DO NEARLY AS MUCH DAMAGE BUT IS A GOOD SUB. 2) Truth - Look out for rockets with 2-3 rounds, TRACKING, and a large blast radius stat (pve + pvp) - this one is all about rolls on rockets you basically are looking for one with all those stats, Hunger of Crota is also a good substitution but Truth is very unique and hard to get a legendary like it. 3) Dragons Breath - Any Legendary Rocket Launcher (pve + pvp) - If you are using DB than you probably want the solar grenade perk other wise you would use any other rocket as it is not worth the exotic slot. MACHINE GUNS: 1) Thunderlord - Jolder's Hammer (pve + pvp) - can be rolled with Arc or Solar JH preforms very similar to thunderlord's impact, rate of fire, and stability making it a good substitute. Do note Thunderlord is a top teir exotic so it will out preform Jolder's Hammer but JH come close. 2) Super Good Advice - Song of Ir Yut (pve + pvp) - Song is a fast fire rate LMG with Arc burn and it has higher Rate of fire, range, reload, and mag size than SGA along with the same impact and stability. IMO SGA is never worth the exotic slot so you should always use Song over SGA. I hope this list helped most of you with choosing weapons for PVE and some what PVP.
