It's actually bad compared to Thorn, Hawkmoon and Red Death. Edit: How does it hit 111? What perk makes it hit this high?

It's balanced by its low mag. It melts in 1v1 situations but it cannot take out multiple targets and you can't go into ranged gunfights

I have no idea how your post is at 0 likes, when it is absolutely undeniably true. You post absolute fact, with proof, and to be honest it's not something anyone doesn't really know already, and yet people want to hate on this. I can only assume the haters are people who use last word. It's ridiculous, NOTHING can beat this weapon in a straight up fight assuming players are of equal skill.

In a 1v1 then yes it is OP. In 1v2 or a 1v3 then you will lose every time. 8 clips mag is only enough for 1 or 2 kills.

So TLW and Thorn are OP. Red death is picking up steam from the nerfers. Tomorrow bungie nerfs these guns into the ground, the crying stops there, right? What guns would be OP then? Any thoughts guys and gals? If people are still dying then obviously it's a balance problem.

I am going to get hate for this but idc. In my opinion all three exotic handcannons should get some form of nerf sadly, and i use thorn and hawkmoon in crucible alot so im not just hating on them. but the fact that all three can hit above 10o damage or even 110 is absurd especially when it comes to last word in the since it can fire alot faster than the other two. For thorn i normally hit 85 base damage to the head and the poison continues at a rate of 7 damage per second for 5 I believe. This would total for 120 damage per crit, this means two head shots will kill someone in crucible unless they have a way to heal themselves or a overshield. Hawkmoon hits a base damage of 91 damage per crit I believe(sry if this is off) and the lucky bullets can chain this weapons damage around 120 just like thorn and sometimes even higher. what makes it so different is the fact that all three shots can compile into one lucky shot for a total of 225 damage(once again sry if this is off) even though this is very rare this is the fastest ttk in the game because its only one shot, even rockets have to take time to reach their target snd are slower than bullets. This is just crazy in my opinion, like i said this is very rare and will not happen every game and maybe not every ten games but the fact it can happen is too much. Now for the last word. This weapon can has a shot that can sometimes proc 111 damage on crits. Now this is lower than the other two weapons crits with their lucky shots(even though all of thorn's shots have poison) but is easily balanced with the fact that it can fire its second bullet and third bullet alot faster than the others. Now you can complain and say that it only has eight shots, well it really dosnt take that long to reload even if your a very active player in crucible it will only take you 2 seconds to reload. The reload can be cut down even more so with armor that has faster reload with handcannons and there are several perks for each character to increase weapon reload speed(titan-defender melee/warlock-voidwalker-melee/and the hunter-chain of woe perk.). Some might say The last word is crippled by its range. Even if it was crippled by range if people can get close enough to use a shotgun than you can definitly get close enough to use the last word. Now i for the final thought, i dont think any primary weapon should be able to one shot enemies in crucible and its a bit of a stretch to even two shot people with these handcannons. i definitely would think that the balancing of crucible would benefit if these weapons would be cut down to being 3 and 4 shot killing weapons, and other nerfs can come along to help these weapons to just so they dont become usless. with this solition it would make things like auto rifles and scout rifles bearable to use again and would most defintly help balance crucible.

Just get rid of guns all together and everyone has to throw rocks. Nerf the world man! F'n whiners ruin everything. RIP Suros and Vex.

Let's take away it's stability perk, then it would be balabced. And get rid of the exotic damage perk, it's also making this gun OP. Actually, let's just take away every gun perk in crucible, and then guardians can punch each other to death. People are never happy. Smh
