Hate messages, getting kicked for the tiniest little mistake, and the list goes on....
I can take a joke and stuff like that! But it's insane how hostile some of you are...
So i played Crota hard today. Joined a random group of random people.
I asked if they wanted me to carry the sword, since I'm experienced with it.
I had my Red Death and Hunger of Crota equipped because i usually run the sword with my hunter.
"Dude this is hardmode, do you even know how to do it? And you don't have a gjallarhorn either. Kick him."
Was his response to that....
So i said:
-Me: How do you know that i don't know what I'm doing?
-Him: You don't have any hardmode stuff at all
-Me: Not using any right now, but i have them all except the crux. (27 hardmode completitions and still no crux..)
-Him: Enough proof, kick him
-Me: Check my -blam!-ing grimoire score then, isn't that some sort of proof *also equipped Gjallarhorn and WoC*
-Him: Grimoire score doesn't mean shit, you just picked up some ghosts, now -blam!- off
And then they kicked me.
First of all, yeah sure a high grimoire score doesn't have to mean that you are skilled. But if your -blam!-ing grimoire score is over 2900 you probably are. It shows that you are highly experienced and have played this game a lot.
And why do people immediatly get pissed and starts to kick people if they don't have a gjallarhorn equipped? Can't you just ask them in a friendly way if they do have it?
And do you really have to shout out
"NO, JUST -blam!-ING KICK HIM" the same second as somebody joins?
Can't you just tell them in a friendly way that your team is full and that he will have to leave?
Edit: You guys are the proof of that there still are friendly players out there!
Or well, not all of you.. But almost everybody on this thread seems like good people!
THANK YOU!

Guardians be crazy. Join the vex, we are all very nice and play well with each other! :)

The funny part is that you don't really need a full team of Gjallarhorn's to take down a Hard Crota. I mean, if me and two others fire one or two rockets each, that's usually enough to take him down. Really, just having a rocket launcher with tracking should be enough. Luckily I have never been in a game with asses like that, and I'm happy for it. I finally have a group of people I can consistently raid with too.

It's the Darkness breaking the minds of the weak...
-
They're just generally unhappy people and be an ass because that's all they bring to the table that is life. You can't get away with that shit IRL otherwise you would constantly be punched in the face.
-
Get a group of friends or meet some people on the forums. Never join randoms though.
-
Because your dealing with a generation of 12-16 yr old kids who think they are entitled to everything and the world revolves around them
-
Everything you mentioned is exactly why I won't play with randoms. I joined the100.io so I could find like-minded players with a similar maturity level. I believe there is also a pretty good LFG section on PlanetDestiny.com, though I've never used it.

Yeah, I had a similar experience. The difference is, it ended in my favor. So I was also using Red Death and HoC to sword bear on hard mode. There were two squeakers in my game that had sent me an invite. The host had lagged out of the game (didn't know that could happen before then) and someone else (me) was promoted to leader. Squeaker 1: dude where's your hard mode gear? Do you even know how to sword bear? Me: course I do, man, chill. I'm using Red Death for health regen. Squeaker 1: where's your Gjallarhorn? Me: I'm not using it to sword bear. Squeaker 1: well you better not -blam!-ing die. [Squeaker 2] are you done eating your sandwich? Squeaker 2: Yeah. Who's this noob with the Red Death? Me: that's your sword bearer that can kill Crota in two swords. Squeaker 1: okay let's do this. We fight through the first room, squeaker 2 dying. We get out, kill the sword bearer, and I pick up the sword and go up to right side rock. I see a couple rockets fire, so I jump up and Crota's shield is still almost full. Boomers are still shooting me and Crota smacks me with the sword. Squeaker 1: oh my god, why'd you die? Someone kick this noob. Me: guess who your host is? There's a moment of silence, and I proceed to kick squeaker 1. 2 stays in the game because I didn't have a problem with him.

It's competitive? Seriously if you want all sunshine and rainbows go play little big planet. Competitive games always have and always will bring out that behavior
-
It happens with randoms. Join a clan. Or if the group is a bunch of rude and obnoxious pricks then just leave and post on lfg
-
Cause -blam!- you that's why
in all seriousness it's because it a bunch of 12 year old squeakers who sit behind a key board in there mom's basement trying to make adults feel bad
-
It's because they're behind a screen. You can't actually see them, so they feel empowered to be the jerk that they truly are.
-
And this is why the racing game community will always be the best.
-
i havent run into that so far for whatever reason the randoms and friends ive played with have all been cool it didnt matter what gear/guns ppl have ...ghally no ghally didnt matter 32 not 32 didnt matter experience no experience didnt matter its meant to be fun and its just a game just find another group F those chumps who require you to have this or that do to this or that those are the ones that need a dose of reality because destiny has become life for them they're the ones who needs a crutch and everything perfect to beat crota on hard its been done with a hell of alot less
-
Edited by Elitespear: 4/2/2015 8:50:04 PMI'm hostile because I don't like you. It's got nothing to do with your gear or experience.
-
Easily the worst community ive ever seen. Especially these forums here....
-
Next time say "Look... Gjallarhorn" - then shoot yourself in the foot with it and say "There goes flawless raider" right before you go back to orbit. :)
-
Screw people like this... Just move on and forget about people like them.
-
Two simple statements 1. The Grind 2. The RNG
-
-
Those players are out there i'm afraid. I always play with randy's and 95% of the time its great. But now and then you meet some lunatic's lol
-
Playstation or xbox?
-
Too many angry posters on the forum
-
Frustration from the grind. Last time I ran Crota hard we had 2 guys that couldn't pull there weight. Tried 6 times wiped every time. The 2 got tired and left. After they were gone we 4 maned it on our first try. One of out team was a 31 as well. The key to raiding is simple.... DONT DIE!!!

Most are immature kids with little to no experience in life. Their only way of expressing their feelings is behind a keyboard and headset. Rage is their way to be who they want to be because that's all they really know. Kids these days feel so entitled. Not all kids but most. Then there's also adults who do the same. It's all garbage, keep calm and carry on bro!

I've seen a few ar*seholes like this, we had one guy join our regular Raid team for CE Hard mode (we were one short as one of our regulars was working) he was a total a$$. As soon as he arrived he started going on about his Gjallarhorn, and did we all have them (which we didn't, at the time only one of the team had one, but we all had maxed RL of one form or another). Anyway, this guy did nothing but go on about his Gjallarhorn and how we were all scrubs and had no idea what we were doing (even though we have all done it numerous times before), he then started having a go atthe two girls in our raid group saying that girls can;t play etc. In the end we had to boot him! Fortunately 99% of people I meet during raids / strikes etc are great and have no problem at all. Some however are just complete c*cks!
