So has anyone ever got into a match made group in any game ever and immediately regretted the decision of doing match made? Match making for all its glory that people have been boosting it for has it's problems. One thing matching making can't account for is level of skill and personality of the players.
For a story, I used to play World of Warcraft and I played it for years. I loved the idea of match making and LFG made the game more accessible. Here is the problem though, 8 year olds, trolls and possible low skilled players being placed in your group. This is one of the things that ultimately destroyed my experience with LFG in WoW. People some times lack the overall skill or awareness to properly play the game and people who get paired with them suffer.
I have already had problems with current match making in Destiny. I have had instances where I was que'ing up for the weekly heroic strike and people in my group either left immediately, went afk or ran straight into a group of enemies and died.
Now, I would like you to honestly think of how this would work well in a 6 man setting, where you need teamwork and coordination to successfully kill a boss. I want you to imagine that this could potentially ruin your experience with match making and potentially your experience with Destiny.
That being said I believe Bungie made the right choice keeping match making out of raids and nightfall. Too much potential for the forums to explode with all of the complaining of match making pairing you with someone who was 'afk' or 'too noob' to contribute to the group.

Match making in Destiny 4 will be perfect.

So you roll another group. Big Deal. Matchmaking is coming cause there aren't enough people accessing arguably the best part of the game. I have one 32 and have never attempted a raid. How is matchmaking any different then an LFG site? Same chance of being paired with a bunch of douches. Say goodbye and try another match

Edited by HiddenHavoc9886: 3/31/2015 10:28:51 PMI've done better with rAndom people off of forums (effectively the same as match making) than I have with the regular people I play casually with. Match making works for some, if it's optional it won't hurt anyone who doesn't want it.

Every team starts out with random at one point, you aren't born knowing everyone.

Yeah. So have you ever gone on lfg and ended up in a holy hell FEST of a group? It happens. So as far as giving everyone a chance. At least a chance at the end game. I think .. I think. I need a snickers bar! Peace*

Just because there's matchmaking implemented, doesn't mean you have to choose that option. What is it people don't get about that?! You CAN STILL choose to find your own team. Match making will simply allow other players who, don't care, don't want to find a team, or simply don't get picked to join a team, have a chance at playing end game content. If you don't like match making then you don't have to opt in for it. Simple as that

This is the one thing Bungie got correct the first time it won't happen
