Before I got the nechrochasm everyone was saying that it sucked. I didn't want to believe them but...now that I do have it...yea it kinda sucks...its kinda ok for pvp but...not really. Don't get me wrong, I like it, its a fun gun to use, but I definitely would not use it for my pve load out. This is currently one the hardest weapons to get and its supposed to be the premier weapon of the Crotas End DLC. A weapon that looks and sounds this awesome and thats this hard to get deserves to be powerful. Even with its 339 damage cap it still is easily beat by almost any auto rifle in the crucible and the frequent thrall explosions with a critical kill should not have to be a crit kill. It should be a kill in general that has a chance to trigger the explosion. I'd like to hear what other people think and what people think of the nechrochasm. Comment if you have it or have an opinion on it.

Double the magazine size Explosion on every kill, not just precision kills 10-15% increase to impact. Done

Its as weak as a trumpet
-
Oh really?

Make the Necrochasm into the Needler from Halo
-
They've already said they're looking into it. I think they're getting tired of people complaining.

Useless exotic

All dark below weapons need a buff.

What prioritize necro over all other auto rifles?

Edited by Wülf: 4/12/2015 5:44:19 PMI love necro, but it does need a buff to damage output. A slight bump (like the 10% they gave pulse rifles) would make necro a viable weapon. The cursed thrall perk would've been a great perk for WoC imo.

Its funny when Omnigul blows up like Cursed Thrall! I use it often in ROC Strikes or patrols.

I have a question. Hopefully someone replies: I already have Eidolon Ally but it's not maxed out yet. I have beaten Crota's End HM multiple times. Last week, when I beat it, My Eidolon Ally was a Husk of the Pit yet. If I beat this week Crota's End HM will I get the Crux of Crota? or I have to beat it twice with Eidolon Ally equipped? Or I need to max it out? I'll appreciate your replies.

It's so bad that I will actually be upset if the Crux drops when completing HM and it screws me out of something else.
-
Have it,hate it. If I could trade it I'd give it for free with the other two Cruxes

I think its fine the way it is. Remember, this generation of guns is supposed to have you use the guns to the extent of their greatness, ability and take advantage of their disadvantages. The necrochasm isn't the best gun, but the gun isn't supposed to do everything for you. Use the cascade perk when you run out of bullets. As soon as your magazine runs out melee a weak enemy and reload. It also teaches you to keep hold of stability, much like the no land beyond, to aim for critical shots. It also has rangefinder, so use it to your advantage and keep your distance from enemies - remember, you're going to learn how to keep steady aim anyways.

bump!!!!!!!!!!!!

It did awesome job in my hands on the Omnigul Strike with arc burn. Omnigul was never easy like this before.
-
Why didnt you post this in the gun balance section
-
Honestly, the thing would be so much better if it had the fire rate and impact of, say, For The People. At least then you wouldn't be better off poking that Psion over there with a stick than shooting it with Necrochasm. It'd also make precision hits easier and the 42 rounds per magazine a sensible decision.
-
It needs a bump in magazine size to put it in line with other high RoF auto rifles. The smallest magazine size high RoF besides necrocasm that i have seen was in the 60-64 range. I think they pre emptivley "balanced" it for crucible whiners, which is why the magazine is so low. I can imagine a team of necro's firing constantly with a bullet stream and taking down anything.

I like the RoF, it needs double the size of its magazine. I already have Hard Light, which I love, so I don't need a middle of the road exotic AR. Siro takes the place of the LRoF exotic AR. We needed a HRoF AR, and that's the Necrochasm. No idea why they thought 42 rounds was enough.
